Saints sign 21 year old Dale Stephens on loan - official
Pat from Poole replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
As could Butterfield. But I think that should only really be in an absolute emergency, and I'm glad we've got another CM. -
They are very telling stats indeed.

Not sure if this name has already come up (apologies if so), but I noticed in today's paper that Warnock is mouthing off that QPR loaned Martin Rowlands to Millwall, and they've only picked him once since the loan started; Warnock isn't happy as he was led to believe that Rowlands would get some games. He's due to return to QPR next week. I've always thought he was a really decent all-action midfielder, and in his early 30's, he wouldn't be unnerved by the edginess of a promotion run-in. I think he could be well worth a punt. Not sure why he hasn't played much for Millwall, I know their midfield is normally paked with athletes and maybe he's a bit too old for them now. Would be fine for us in our predicament though.

Cool. I liked him, he was a little bit mental and very menacing.

When I rang the ticket office a couple of hours ago to buy 2 tickets, I was told by the guy that there are not many left.

Breaking news - danny ward signs for Huddersfield
Pat from Poole replied to skinner05's topic in The Saints
He was good for Swindon last season. Decent signing for Huddersfield. -
You can always support Poole Town in the FA Vase semi-final first leg on that day.

Good news for me if they shift it, can't do Saturday games but can do midweek.

Only 1322 tickets for Bournemouth!

Is The Bell still a big Celtic pub? -
Why can't we pick a much slower anthemic song with a short chorus for a ditty? Slower songs have much more impact and our lot aren't very good at learning songs with lots of words (e.g. the Lambert song) I'm sure others can come up with some good words, but how about something like the chorus of Vienna by Ultravox as an example?

I don't think Wiseman was in any position to be a moral authority after being one of the direct beneficiaries of the Secure Retirement reverse takeover. Although at the time he wasn't to know the shares would ultimately become worthless in 2009.

This is fact. Yet Lambert spent far more time whining at the ref through the game.

Which is why I was singing "Come On You Saints".

Is it likely to be a sit/stand where you like situation tomorrow night? Bought two tickets at lunchtime from SMS ticket office and was given Row D. I asked for higher up, but the guy at the window said he couldn't control what tickets were given out, which I didn't wholly understand. Row D is a bit too low for me.

Jermaine Wright and Bradley Sh1te-Phillips, FFS!!!

Completely agree with all of this. I also fear we will rue not selling Chamberlain last month.

I could not believe he would always wear that white T-shirt no matter how freezing it was. Proper madness at times. I liked him a lot, genuine Saints guy.

Bournemouth trying to get Simon Cox on loan.....

This is madness on Megson's part. McCarthy keeps being fined by West Ham for being too fat. -
Bournemouth trying to get Simon Cox on loan.....
Pat from Poole replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
Quite. The article in the Bournemouth Echo quotes Bradbury as saying that Cox has got some Championship clubs interested in taking him on loan, and he wants to play at the highest level possible. So he won't be joining Bournemouth. Or Saints. -
Why do you have to put Duncan's name in quotation marks? You really are an utter turd sometimes.
-
He doesn't hate Southampton. Though he might hate Cortese.

This is the article (apologies, it was actually after we beat them in the League Cup, not the League):- http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/8323869.Comment__Saints_chairman_can_t_see_the_big_picture/

This guy Meldrum is actually a Saints fan; he wrote a long article in the Bournemouth Echo just after we beat them 2-0 in the League at SMS and didn't let photographers in, talking about how he used to stand on the terraces at The Dell as a Saints fan and support MLT, Shearer etc., but that under Cortese we had lost our soul. It was actually an article that did resonate with me to a degree. No idea whether it's mischievous garbage, one could easily imagine Mitchell would have encouraged it.
