  1. I am not doubting the validity of leftback's comments, but am a bit puzzled about the bit that says we've got to keep winning so as to be able to make changes in the January transfer window. If we actually were to keep winning, would it not be a bit odd to make loads of changes in January? (I think the squad undoubtedly needs more depth, but I'm not sure that equates to changes).
  2. I think that Sky Sports News is also a "News" channel, so if your in-laws have got the News package as one of their packs on their Sky subscription, they will be able to get Sky Sports News even if they don't have a subscription to the Sports channels.

The concept of ball control was alien to Bradley. If I had a pound for every time he ran the ball off the pitch.....

Stayed in Brussels for Euro 2000, it's OK, Grand Place is nice. I think it's quite a good place to go for a weekend.
  5. I would recommend staying with Virgin Media, as I have. I nearly moved across to BT a few months ago, but found them to be highly dishonest in what they could offer and gave them a miss. Their staff all seemed to be Scottish as well, I understood the Virgin call centre reps better!!!!!! Not sure what the broadband speed comparison is like in your neck of the woods, but in Poole it's twice as fast with Virgin Media compared with BT.
  6. Out of interest, how did you come to decide on your username?
  7. The teams we lost to in that run of games last season all ultimately finished in the top half of the League. I'll be very surprised if Rochdale and Plymouth end up in the top half. There were admittedly a couple of silly draws in that run of games but we were starting to look a decent team by the end of it.
  8. I think I missed Manji being perceptive.
  9. Ha ha ha. I know we're desperate, but FFS........
  10. And Lowe wasn't a freeloader? Did he or did he not get the club to pay his own personal legal fees when he sued Martin Samuel?
  11. It is difficult to take seriously the views of a poster on this forum who spends most of their time dreaming of swallowing the semen of Rupert Lowe.
  12. The reality is that Cortese will have somebody in his mind who he would want to take over at any point, so he could sack Adkins pretty much any time. It matters not one jot what the fans think. He's pretty ruthless and won't muck about, he will be desperate for his mega-millions bonus for getting Saints to the Prem.
  13. Agree. And having heard Adkins' press conference from Thursday and his interview at lunchtime today on BBC Radio Humberside, he just sounds full of waffle, and I really hate his tendency to talk about himself in the 3rd person. I can see players being very uninspired by his pre-match teamtalks. Listen to him drone on for 5 minutes and compare that with 30 seconds of Eddie Howe talking simple common sense with no bull, and you realise which one of the two is destined for a career in the top flight. We have really missed out by not getting Howe.
  14. Er, Hoddle?????
  15. Makes sense, Yank owner etc. I like the idea of Guernsey being the hotbed for exclusives.
  16. Are you speaking on behalf of yourself or all Saints fans? I'm sure you're not being a hypocrite......
  17. Regardless of what you say, the way the football-obsessed media are (not least SSN), they're always wanting a contact within the fanbase of a club to get a barometer of fans' opinions, invariably requiring interviews at short notice. I'm sure Nick would more than happily let somebody else do it, it's hassle he probably doesn't need. I know he's had a bad press about the Silverspoons fiasco, which will take a long time to live down, but this vendetta against him is crazy. People seem to easily forget he's had his season ticket taken away from him.
  18. No he isn't. Have you ever actually met the bloke? Jeez, some people.
  19. Bore off, you lying turd.
  20. A lot of people have been harping on about Dean Wilkins and assuming that he gets on well with Zola, but I would imagine that Dean Wilkins also gets on rather well with Ray Wilkins. Who if memory serves, played with some distinction for a club in Serie A who Cortese himself was linked with some months back. And who also strikes me as being the type of yes-man who Cortese would be happy to accommodate.
  21. For my sins, just been looking on one of the Bournemouth message boards, and it seems that O'Driscoll's family still live in Verwood. Not a yes man as such, but he's a pretty pragmatic guy and isn't the type to spit his dummy out of the pram. Really dull to listen to though. I think he works better with young up and coming players than "name" players, who we have signed a fair few of relative to our current league status.
  22. I'm convinced that SKY are reducing the quality of their standard definition picture to encourage people to spend an extra £10 a month on HD. Turned SKY on this morning, SSN HD was a great picture, Millie Clode looking more fantastic as ever, then turn over to the non-HD version of SSN and it looks really blurred in comparison. Well, that was on my telly anyway, don't know what other people are finding.
  23. Couldn't agree more. That would be so apt for the club's saviour.
  24. Hayley McQueen, good to see she's back, she did leave SSN to go to MUTV I believe (her father Gordon used to be a thuggish centre-half for United). Her breasts are looking very ample.
