Amid the joy, what a story to wake up to.

Weird. I heard nothing and was in the Northam / Kingsland corner. No idea when this was meant to have been sung Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Good news he's back in training, but don't see him walking back into this team now even when fit. No doubt of his ability in flashes, for example that home game against Man Utd earlier on in the season, he gave Pogba a lesson, but we don't see that enough. If we can get him playing to the top of his ability week in week out, we would have an amazing player on our hands, but that just doesn't seem to be in his DNA.

Valery is better than Cedric already. He's going to be an exceptional player - who knows a big club might come in for him in the summer and we'll be stuck with Cedric or alternative again.
-
Ings & Lemina available after the break it sounds like. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2019-03-07/team-news-southampton-tottenham-premier-league-201819

Who knows, you'd like to think there is a point for him being here, and to give something back to the club. Personally don't want to see us with betting companies on our shirts, but money talks and if it's twice as much then you've got to give it a real thought.
-
Not sure Rose will play, Davies is first choice, and considerably the better player.
-
We absolutely shouldn't go down from here with Cardiff's games left & their best defender out for the rest of the season - but you never know.
-
Think this was always their plan in January, but they couldn't get Darmian, so took Cedric on loan until the summer togive them another 6 months to get Darmian over the line.
-
Don't think Lemina gets in this team at the moment, unless his attitude improves massively and he can play for 90 minutes. Good problem to have because he's a good player.
-
Yeah - been going on for a while. Thought the words were "Oooh Pierre Hojbjerg, the one and only, from Munich"

Was a very poor attendance last night, was shocked how many empty seats there were. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

He was brilliant last night, didn’t stop, fully deserved his goal. Turning into a really good player.
-
Been out a long time now, not expecting him to play for us again tbh.

Michael Obafemi - Official: Signs for Swansea

No surprise. He's sh1te and always injured and on high wages. -
Michael Obafemi - Official: Signs for Swansea

Bloody shambles this. what a mess. The thought of us sticking all our eggs in the Ings, Obafemi, Long and Austin basket is absolutely laughable. All either always injured or nowhere near good enough. Which other teams would any of these get in in this league? -
I'm not an Austin fan, but he has to start this. We'll have to carry him through the majority of the game, but we know if we give him enough chances, he is the most likely to stick it in. Plus he can actually head the ball which is a novel idea for the other lot.
-
If we don't win, we're as good as down I think. ---------------Gunn Valery Bednarek Yoshida Bertrand --------Hojbjerg Romeu----------- JWP-------Redmond----Armstrong ------------Austin So little pace in our side. Could stick Long on a wing. Such a championship side and no surprise we are where we are. How have we got to the point where thats our first XI - madness.
-
He's dross - would struggle to get in the majority of Championship sides. Not good enough on the ball, not good enough in the air, gets pushed off the ball, doesn't read the game particularly well. He shouldn't be anywhere near a premier league first XI.
-
He's already better than Cedric. He's a kid who has been thrown in at the deep end. I'm not worried when he's playing. Seems to love a dribble forwards and is arguably a bit greedy but great talent to have - doesn't quite have the quality with his balls into the box, but not much for him to aim for in the middle anyway. Defensively I think he is ok, but we do have a poor back line in general.
-
Just me who thinks Lemina is going to be out for the rest of the season? Seems never ending

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
Saint Garrett replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
Thought he was an academy product, didn't know we bought him in like Stephens etc. Slight difference I guess is that Obafemi was 15 when he was brought in rather than a first team regular like Stephens. -
Travelled on Lion Air a few times when in Thailand - was absolutely fine.

Decent write up on it here... https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/11642200/relegation-battle-examined-who-will-maintain-their-premier-league-status The head to head table is pretty damning, and pretty much shows why we are still in the sh1t.

The January Window - what will it cost us?
Saint Garrett replied to Heisenberg's topic in The Saints
To be honest, I think even when he is available, we're still in the bottom 5 on options up top. You know you're only going to get 60 minutes out of him anyway. The options off the bench are dire, and when Ings isn't available we've got a strike force that some Championship sides wouldn't take. It's just a gamble to see whether thats going to cost us by the end of the season. But, if Gao has no money, then he's got to go. Nothing good can come of him, there's clearly a reason why he didn't pass the "fit and proper test" by the premier league.
