Absolutely love the bloke and been a pleasure seeing him grow over the last 5 years. Wouldn’t swap him for many others in this league. He sets the tone with his professionalism and hard work, and I have so much time for that. Keep growing Prowsey!

I would expect we won't be signing a striker as well as him. Or surely we wouldn't have signed Orsic too.

I think I've got 2 tickets that are now not being used, so available if anyone wants them, face value...
-
Any idea if it's being streamed anywhere?

Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg

I'm going to be waiting to buy tickets, as some of our group only have 2 aways...still should be ok. -
No idea if he's any good, but he's certainly different to what we have. Certainly fits the sort of striker we've been looking at...Jackson, Moffi, Semenyo, Estupiñán. Seems like Moffi was probably our first choice, but the bidding war / Bournemouths involvement has meant that hasn't happened for whatever reason. Gets a clean slate from me, but it certainly seems like a lot of money for another striker that doesnt score goals...

I think they already have clicked tbh, and it was highly likely to happen after the WC. I don't think they go down now. You look at their results since the start of November....In the league, they've beaten Leicester, Us, Palace and Spurs, drawn to Chelsea and Brentford, and only lost to Man Utd...

Yup - I think with our "model" an initial 4 year contract is far from ideal. Generally it takes players at least a year to get properly settled into the first team, and a year to start making strides. and by that point their in their last 2 years and agent's probably in their ear telling them not to sign a new one. Even players like KWP it's happened. I think 4 years with the club having an option to extend to a 5th is the way to go. Ideally they sign a new one after 2 years.

Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg

Sounds like there is a good chance he'll miss the first leg, but likely to be fit for the second leg...i notice they've been linked with a whole host of players this morning, inc a bunch from Chelsea. I'm guessing there is a chance they'll be cup tied. -
I think it would be a big shame to lose him oh the cheap, he’s still only 23, and he’s shown plenty of potential. There is no doubt he’s struggled when he’s not got a solid defence around him, and I don’t think Bazunu has helped him this season, but he’s definitely not progressed as I think most of us were expecting. However he is still a very decent player…I’m hoping he’ll sign a new contract and stay with us for a few more years, but bringing in DCC last summer might well have been an early replacement for him.

Ah guessing that’s why it says they’ll be sold in order of the home team, ie left to right as you look at the pitch, makes sense -

Not sure what this means, whether it means they can get more, or it will be reduced, or both... -
Vokins has come back, couldn't get in the Woking team. Not really sure where his career goes from here.

However you can just go onto this website and buy tickets in the home end...! https://www.livefootballtickets.com/fixtures/southampton-v-newcastle-united-tickets-efl-cup.html -
Personally i'd go with the following: ---------------Bazunu------------------ Lyanco-----DCC---Salisu--------KWP ---------Lavia--------Diallo----------- -Elyounoussi---JWP--------Armstrong --------------Adams------------- Id be relatively happy if any of Edozie, Djenepo or Orsic (if hes ready) start. Nice to have some options rather than just trying to find 11 that won't be shite. Confidence plays such a big part.

Guess that means they’ll postpone the game then. -
They’re a decent side now, and it will be a tough game, but we’re coming off the back of 3 wins and confidence is growing. Similar team for me and hopefully we can nick a win and get off the bottom. You look at where Forest are now, it hasn’t taken that much.
-
I thought it had already come in. You can only have a certain amount of players out on loan. So the days of Chelsea having 40-50 players out on loan are long gone. These structured deals with buy backs seem to be the way forward these days.
-
Apparently that’s to get around FFP rules. They amortise the cost over 8 years.
-
That money for him looks mental tbh. I’m hoping we’ll go after someone else, rather than being part of this bidding war.
-
Looking at the table this game seems to be a bit do or die really. If we can manage to get a win it is game on for the rest of the season.

From who? The club? My guess is that it will be Tues 24th and Weds 1st -
I saw a few tweets from the french media, basically saying that every January there is a forward that plays in Ligue 1 that half the premier league are after, and this year it's Moffi. Also said the money being discussed is way more than what it should be but it's being pushed up by a bidding war essentially. I can't see us signing him if everyone else is involved, when did we last win a transfer race like this ?
