Fair play to Adam Blackmore. I know he sometimes has to be careful with what he says because it causes issues with access etc, but it’s very damning from him. Well worth a listen.

But surely the board will look at the data (0 points) and accept the fact they have got it wrong. There is nothing positive about the way he manages. Whether that’s relating to staying up, or promotion next season. Do the fans just accept relegation and just get behind Jones? I can’t see that happening, St Mary’s was as toxic as I’ve mostly seen it last night, if we lose the next one surely it just snowballs? They have to address the issue to give us a chance…surely ?

I just don’t really understand the benefit to the owners/board of forcing a formation on a team. Especially when you’ve got a shit tonne of money involved. Wasn’t “The Southampton Way” developed around forward thinking, attacking free flowing football. Namely 4222 or 4333 or similar.

None of our centre backs want to play in a back 3/5 apart from Lyanco and he’s not good enough. That’s pretty much it. ABK and Salisu were fine in a 2 at the start of the season, and DCC was comfortable there. Now Lavia is back to screen the defence, we should 100% be playing a back 4 with Lavia and JWP in front, it’s really not that difficult.

So will we see the end of this shite 5 at the back then? For me, we have to go back to a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2, or however you want to view it. Orsic isn't a striker, he probably would play left of a front 3. I wonder if he'll come in to play LWB like Edozie came on to play last night. I'm positive about this bloke, but I fear he's just going to be watching the ball go over his head and struggle to get involved. I hope he's on a sensible contract, as we know we're going to be playing championship football next season.

Whoever signed Mara and decided he could be a first team option this season needs shooting. He runs around like he's still playing in the u18s. Offers absolutely nothing. He's another player we bought in this summer who cannot seem to sprint, along with AMN and Aribo. No pace in this side at all, and Mara doesnt even seem to know when to run and where to run to. dross.

Only positive to have this game, is it gives Jones a free hit to play a back 4 and try and get something working. Although hopefully he’s sacked by then.

They’ve had a shocker, focusing too much on making money, the ladies team, light shows, etc and forgetting about the most important thing - the first team. Getting rid of everyone over the age of 18 in the summer, and replacing them all with children who may or may not be good at some point, has cost us massively. I don’t have much positive to say about them other than “they’re not Gao” but he did a far better job!

We don’t have the players to play it. None of the CBs want to play left or right, and they all get horribly exposed, the full backs get stuck with nowhere to go, and leave huge gaps in behind them. The midfield 3 look completely lost and no idea where to go, and the forwards are nowhere to be seen. We’re not good enough attacking, to take a forward player out for a CB. If Jones is to stay, and I 100% hope he doesn’t, then he needs to bin this 5 atb now. He’s tried it multiple times and it’s failed miserably, and only looked decent when we’ve switched back to a 4. We threw Fulham result away by changing back to a 5 when we were on top, and it cost us a result tonight IMO.
