Can't say I really noticed him in the Euros but sounds like there could be some truth in it. What I meant by 'the Southampton way' was that we try and keep our interest as private as possible, as Adkins says in pretty much every press conference when asked about transfers either in or out the club.

Would have thought he would have 4-5-1 in mind, with Michu alongside 2 others in CM with Lallana and possibly Lee out wide. We are definitely going to need different options when plan A isnt working. Sounds like he could be a superb signing if it happens.

I think it also had something to do with our players stepping up majorly last season. They were good L1 players the league before, but the younger ones stepped up (Lallana/Morgan) we brought in another good CB to partner Fonte, and also brought in goals in Sharp, also Guly was superb at the start of last season and Lambert looked like he'd been playing at atleast that level for years. I wouldn't say we overperformed, I would say that we showed our potential. I just hope that these players can keep getting better and better and we can show how good we are next season with a few tweaks.

Aren't we having all these games at St Marys over pre season so the FA can test out the ball line technology?
