And the 6-1 at Old Trafford and the whole 'noisy neighbours' thing and the whole "Will Manchester City ever win the Premier League Title Sir Alex? “Not in my Lifetime" .....awesome
To be fair Utd have been buying the title for years, though it gets overlooked as its been a constant thing, whereas City have done it all in a few years and therefore looks worse. I think I am right in saying that their first XI's Man Utd's cost more. It certainly did when they played eachother a few weeks ago.
If we are going to bring in players then IMO they need to be first team players who are considerably better than what we have. No point bringing in players who aren't going to automatically be first teamers as the team spirit we have currently will play a huge part next season IMO.
Puncheon wasnt about, Lallana was injured at the time along with Chaplow and De Ridder. Probably was quite good for our youth team to be playing with someone that came through the Barcelona academy. He was probably a 'free' loan and if he taught a few of the youngsters a few things then it can't be too bad. Although I am surprised he didnt figure on the bench a few times.
A lot of opposing fans that I spoke to this season thought that Guly caused them a lot of problems. Despite us generally not particularly rating him, and the frustrations he brings, it's his unexpected nature that makes him a problem from the opposition team. I don't think he's amazing by any stretch but he was involved in our best and most effective football this season.
