Think Johnstone would be a great signing personally

Michael Obafemi - Official: Signs for Swansea
Saint Garrett replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Think it's a shame, but circumstance has meant this has happened. Maybe he'd have gone out to Swansea last Jan and bagged 10 goals, and come back with a but of fire in his belly, but unfortunately it hasn't happened for him here. Will be interesting to see how he gets on at Swansea. Wouldn't surprise me if he scored 10-15 for them this season. -
There was supposedly a load of clubs in for him from abroad and they wouldn't let him leave. Surprised quite a few of those didnt end up on loan. What a fall from grace for Barkley especially.

Understand why, but £1.5/2m would be a shame. I’d prefer him to either just stay at the club this year, or sign a new contract and go out on loan for the season, there is a good player in there, -
They've been trying to get rid of him for weeks....not 100% sure why. I thought he was doing ok at Juve.

Not sure there was when we signed Ings either...heres hoping...

Says a lot that quite a few of our targets or former targets, are joining championship clubs...

Absolutely bugger all happening today...! Interested to see what happens to the below this season...can't see them getting many first team league apps this season. Hudson-Odoi Loftus-Cheek Lewis Baker Barkley Phil Jones Lingard Andreas Perieira Juan Mata Van De Beek Kolasinac Riess Nelson Balogun Maitland Niles Nketiah Elneny

Occasionally something comes out from nowhere, but can’t see it, and not expecting anything today.

Where has Wilson actually said that, because he certainly hasn’t tweeted anything about it.

Macca; Livramento, Stephens, Salisu, Perraud; Djenepo, JWP, Romeu, Tella; Armstrong, Adams Don't see Ralph dropping Tino.

Fair play, played well, but difficult to judge against such poor opposition. Everyone had so much space last night, but will be interesting to see how he gets on in the premier league. Up to him to prove he can do it.

Clearly something has gone on behind the scenes in the GK department. I hope a decent option for an improvement on McCarthy comes up next summer, as it's a position we really need to improve in. McCarthy is so poor. Forster is reported to be on a higher wage, so assuming that's why they've chosen to keep Macca and move Forster on finally. Not sure what happens if Macca has a really poor season and then Forster comes in and does well. Sounds like there is little route back for Forster now.

Good player and a really good signing I feel. Think we've just been a bit spoilt in the last few years with quite how good Ings' finishing is. Unfortunately, Armstrong is less clinical, but he fits into the way we play, seems to already have a really good partnership with Adams, and will score 10-15 this season, assuming he stays fit. Look forward to seeing his play develop, as he settles in further.

The bloke took his career for granted. Never took football seriously, smoked all the time, etc Assumed he'd always have a good career because he was talked up when he was young. Not a 10, not a DM not a wide player, and rarely fit enough to stick enough games together. And then gets involved with this article....I'm sure if he was that interested in playing he could have gone to Derby when they had 7 players or whatever it was a few weeks ago. I don't have a lot of sympathy for him tbh.

Almost certain Prowsey will play if fit. The bloke is a machine and he always plays, whether it's league or cup.
-
Did Thierry sign in time? If he did, I’d have him straight in, why not.

The screens are being replaced in a months time because they're 20 odd years old, think we're just going to have to live with that one for a few months. Likewise the TV's in the concourse weren't on.

One time target Weston Mckennie available for ca £25m. Possibly to spurs in a swap deal for Sissoko... Would be interested to see how he gets on in the premier league given we tried to sign him last summer.

Will Southampton do any other business? Yes. A move for Torino defender Lyanco is very close to being done. It is understood Southampton are now just waiting on the final pieces of paperwork and for his visa to be sorted."

My ST was fine, but it took quite a while to actually scan. Was no real issues in the kingsland/northam corner, apart from general slowness.
-
Reading didn't want to sell him. It's taken a long time for him to get to this level and fair play to him. The guy is a beast. But his technical ability, isn't brilliant. Even if we had signed him, he wouldn't still be here anyway, as we'd have likely sold him when we got into the premier league.

Torino have now bud for Kabak. Think this one is done

Simeu played tonight for the B team.
