COLCHESTER....enough said

Nothing to do with giving people time...i am well aware of where we are and who we are right now......... but with the squad we have, against a 10 man COLCHESTER, we should be doing better. Been a long time since ive been watching football that losing a player has HELPED the team

Genuinely ,the last thing i want is to sack the manager......foook knows we have had enough of that in the past . That doesn't mean he / they are immune to criticism and today pardew deserves it (IMHO) because he got it wrong
-
Thats not switiching sides
-
Lallana was moved up front
-
Whilst i agree with the sentiment we have played games we should have won and today is a great point in case ......time for Pardew to deliver
-
Nick i enjoy your posts but have to disagree on this one. We played over 60 ,mins against 10 men and and were better when they have 11. He couldnt reshuffle the pack to get a result.............starting to get worried
-
Don't think he did what
-
Not calling for his head . But Pardew needs to come out and take it on the chin and own up to getting his tactics, formation and subs wrong today. He f o o ked up and didnt come close to owning up to it in his interview. Great squad =time for manager to deliver

Taken as a quote from the BBC article......******* Genius, remind me again have much lawyers get paid... If I'm a lawyer advising my club, I would ensure at all times they are not seen to be inducing that breach of contract Sports lawyer Oliver Hunt

And the appropriate rules have now been put in place to prevent that happening or more importantly allow it to happen legally. Players can of course still do the same things but it would now cost them their career. What MLT did and when he did, wouldn't have.

What was done broke no FA betting regulations, so he was fine on that count. And as for defrauding the bookies; Imagine you were in a pub sat next to a table of jockeys who are talking about their race tomorrow and agree which jockey will win it. You leave the pub knowing which horse and rider are going to win a race, what would you do?
-
This is excellent news and a true sign of intent. The tail is no longer wagging the dog. If you want to leave fine, but on our terms and if they are not met, you're staying put. Thanks ML and AP

Stick to the pills dalek, you know what happens when you miss a day

Nothing to do with a player messing up, by not getting the ball, he was there to protect it if it didn't go out or force the defender into putting it out. In the context of the bet, I strongly suspect that, given it was something they did every week, Watson came up with the idea of putting money on it.

Well you always sent a winger to chase it down but invaribly yes. Close to the corner flag, game restarts deep in the opposition half. You always mention about watching Le Tiss, well if you watched him at home games, you would have seen this at every home game for nearly 3 seasons.
-
TDD.......................(Not trying to be funny) It was a tactic we used EVERY kick off at home. A few people have mentioned it on this thread and i can't be bothered to type it again, but we did..... other teams do it as well.
-
.................And a book, which has just been boosted with national publicity. Don't write him of as stupid, as mentioned before, I'm sure this was a very deliberate inclusion.
-
I was waiting to see if anybody mentioned this. The bet was either a regular thing (joke) or your point is where Le Tiss got the idea from. Religiously from kick off the ball was lumped to the right or more often the left wing as close to the corner flag as the kicker could get it ...much like rugby (pre scw..lol) the winger would chase down and if the ball didn't go straight out the defender would be under pressure to clear his lines..... the ball very often went out Saints would re group and the game then pretty much started deep in the opposition half. I couldnt rememeber whether this was Ball or Souness, but it happened for a long period of time.

Very happy with the signings and whilst there is nothing wrong with demanding more (As in the playoffs) I still think this season is more about survival and consolidation than promotion. Survive this season, keep the bulk of the squad together and next year we will fly
-
Never heard that before. Nothing on line if you search The Sun web site and he was at the first game of the season

# And thats why UEFA have fooked up again. No issues with penalising players after the match....although the post about the blue square league not having cameras is relevant, but you can't dish out penalites 10 x what they would have recived on the pitch for the same offence
