  1. Is there any timescale now for getting this concluded then, bearing in mind the exclusivity has gone? Have we sorted the two minor legal issues with sub-clauses with the creditors, and can we crack the FL nonsense tomorrow? I appreciate Tony's updates but I'm rapidly losing the will to live on this, can't take another week. And my season ticket fund is diminishing by the day, as I invest in more and more alcohol to get through this!
  2. 13 new grounds next season, but can't make Stockport so possibly 12 if I can drag myself up to Hartlepool midweek. But looking at the fixtures, there's not many games I don't fancy going to! Looks like some decent drinking Saturdays in the Big Smoke...
  3. Shame about Swindon midweek. Bring on the Carlisle weekender, Hartlepool midweek is a nightmare! Charlton & Orient away days both before November look good for a jolly on the train, we must be on our best behaviour though... Decent Boxing Day and Easter games.
  4. All eyes on the Potters Heron, Ampfield on Friday...
  5. Maccabees, Rakes, White Lies and Maximo Park were all good at the IOW yesterday, although as expected the IOW crowd didn't really get White Lies.
  6. Sky are showing it! Looks like coverage starts at 10.30, match starts at 10.45 (Sunday 5th July). Monday is the reserve day. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12943,00.html
  7. Good debate, and a crucial one for the new owner. I'd go along with adult STs checking in at under £300 (that's for new business). With some additional reward for previous STs. The sooner we can get on with this the better, as I'm already spending some of the cash I'd earmarked...
  8. Good stuff. Would be nice if the OS did some more decent historical stuff which may educate some of the younger fans, and keep them believing in the club and its history. As well as providing up-to-date useful information, and not too much corporate PR guff.
  9. Alex, Giddy Bridge, Guide Dog generally. Good news on the Grapes. Is the Joshua Tree the ex-Le Tiss pub?
  10. I think Brighton are too friendly with us (no gags) since that Dell finale game, apart from the odd rumble back in the day, '86 was fun. Swindon could be a bit tasty, as we can take a lot more up there than we can to Brighton.
  11. If the prices are right they will be higher. If they aren't right they will be lower. Next question...
  12. We'll need local people involved, and local fans, even if it's just for non-exec 'checks and balances' type roles. From this point of view, we'll have Lynam, Matty and Leon for starters. This is a good thing. I think Leon may be well advised to keep his head below the parapet for a little while, but I'd welcome his involvement.
  13. If we kick off in League One on -10 on Saturday 8th August then that is all the excitement we need! There's still two weeks left to finalise the takeover, the important thing is that people are cracking on with sorting out the football issues now and not wasting more time. I don't really think there's much mess to clear up. Just a lot of season tickets to sell that's all, and maybe a few players to come or go. The rest will take care of itself and will be much easier if we are debt-free.
  14. Exactly. Similar to the ZDS trip in the early-90s, we'll all start getting excited at the SF stages. Could be a good jolly...
  15. If Wotte has offers lined up abroad then that's fantastic. We just offer him some minor academy role, he declines and departs. Everyone's a winner. We just need to make a quick managerial appointment. Although I've argued for managerial stability now is the time for yet another change, we just a good one for a few years. Of course if it's a very good one they may leave anyway to another club c'est la vie...
  16. The most important thing is that we won't be Southampton Leisure Holdings Plc next season! As for the 125 years, I definitely think it would be good to do something a bit different with at least one of the kits for this, the 1885 kit sounds like a good idea.
  17. Administration has been the best thing to happen to Saints since the Cup Final (2003!). To have no debt, no PLC and no divisive board next season will be like having a new SFC. Not to mention probably some decent crowds, and some nice grounds to visit. Even if we haven't got loads of cash it will still be like a glorious rebirth. Ok, the last few weeks have not been easy, but it will prove to be well worth it in the end.
  18. 10-point plan for the new owners: 1 Keep expenditure below income 2 Find a good manager and back him (i.e. get rid of Wotte) 3 Communicate with the fans, but don't patronise them 4 Price tickets to fill the ground, STs no more than £300 5 No Stewart Dennis pre-match 6 No pre-match music 7 Don't read any message boards 8 Get some bottles of real ale for sale in the concourse 9 Don't listen to any spook stories about 'Keyser Soze' 10 Return the club to the city of Southampton...
  19. I think a motivated DMG could get loads of goals in Division 3 so for that reason I'd rather keep him than bank £1m (obviously that's dependent on Wotte being terminated).
  20. I'll only go when Fry has been removed from St Mary's...
  21. At a sensible price (c£300) then yes I'm chomping at the bit to get one!
  22. Mods - Can we have make this a sticky on the Season Ticket debate, as this is one of the most critical early things Pinnacle have to get right? Any debate on here may be viewed by the new people, so all ideas are welcomed surely. To kick things off here's the MK Dons prices which I know someone has already posted recently. They seem to have some very attractive deals, like us they have quite a lot of seats to sell so can be a bit more flexible than most. They've sold 5,000 so far, which obviously we can easily beat. 23. Would imagine it will start with the usual round of fixtures against local non-league clubs. Good for fitness and good for those club's income. We've done the Salisbury/Eastleigh split squads, but I think last time it was reduced to Basingstoke/Winchester! Eastleigh game is always popular, would be good to send some Saints XI to Totton and/or Vospers pre-season, as they're both Southern League now.
  24. Is this really the bitter end? Or is Fry playing cat-and-mouse games with Pinnacle?! Either way I'm worried!
