I heard a while ago (from a non Saints related source) that Souness was very serious about a bid with a consortium (I think possibly with some Italian money?). He was (and is) the favourite to succeed from what I've heard ! If it's right, you heard it here first ! If it's wrong, ooh eck, don't blame me !

Pretty much agree with all of that but am a little concerned about having 4 interested parties. In essence an auction could drive the buying price up, meaning less to spend on the team thereafter. If there was only one party then they could probably dictate the price and move on quickly to rebuid the squad !!

IMO Lallana is half a footballer. Strengths -Two footed, skillful, clever, tricky, good dribbler ! Weaknesses - Can't shoot, doesn't score, can't cross, not pacy ! It is possible that he would show better in a top team but I feel that he'll need a good mentor to improve his overall game !

He is a recent former chairman and if you give the FL authorities half a chance then they will exploit it (as they probably already have) ! The elderly linesman in front of the Kingsland in the 2nd half was probably the worst I have ever witnessed (and that takes a lot of doing) ! He got everything wrong, whilst not favouring either side he just was cr@p, throw ins, corners, offsides, the lot ! The ref was carbage as well but to be fair he had very little support !
