It's a pity that the previous board didn't get it, nor many of the posters on here who seem to blame the supporters for our demise !!

A lot has been written on here about absentee supporters being part of the reason for our financial freefall in the last year or so but if you consider reality perhaps it is not really so unexpected ! I reckon that there are 4 main fan categories which apply and which most clubs outside the elite would expect to exist : A) DIEHARDS - those who follow home and away without fail ! B) REGULARS - those who follow at home and occasionally away ! C) CASUALS - those who pick and choose depending upon situation/performance ! D) GLORY BOYS - those who come when we are playing important games or top teams ! The new owners have to take account of this and gear everything towards matching the team to the league ! Early results next season are vital (especially at minus 10 points) so if we can attract a fair number of cat C and maybe even cat D then we will move forward but if we fail to recognise that supporters cannot be fobbed off with con tricks (last year's reserves = total football etc..) then I guess we could be looking at longterm stagnation !!! Personally I feel that he is underrated and that his languid style belies his commitment and leads some to think that he is lazy ! His first full season has been in a poor team with strange management decisions surrounding him ! It would not surprise me to see him become a fairly big star one day ! I would hold out for a sizeable fee for sure !

Would these be the contacts that brought in Gasmi, Pulis, Forecast, Robertson, Smith and Peckhart by any chance ?? If so, I'll take my chances on somebody new ! ps. I realise that he would not have made these signings on his own but he was responsible for the development of young players at the time !

The fact is that some attendees of football matches are fans (short for fanatics!) and others are more like customers (they come along when it suits them and if they consider the 'product' to be right) ! Whatever the definition, I think that it crass to blame someone for choosing not to turn up and no right thinking business person (in any walk of life) would survive with that attitude ! All IMHO of course.

The product is lousy ! Some customers don't buy ! Who do we blame ? Why, the customers of course ! Some of you guys have to get real, we were lucky that 15,000 odd turned up on a regular basis to watch 4 wins out of 21 in a sh1tty league ! The boardroom bickering, the patronising attitude, the sheer incompetence of those running the club was the major cause of failure and anyone who thinks that the paying customer is in any way at fault is basically thick !!

I recently changed my car insurance away from Norwich Union ! I'd love to say it was in protest over the Saints but sadly it was just because of their total incompetence and particularly in relation to their useless call centre in India (not racist, just a fact)! Anyway that's me done my bit !!!

I think you may well be right about this ! There has been talk about further payments down the line (ie. 5mil if we get back to the Prem) and future gaurantees are probably harder to pin down than immediate funds ! Let's hope that this is the case because I reckon we need ready cash to start us off with a half decent squad in the 3rd div !!!

My son has a 'LE TISSIER 7' signed and worn shirt (Friends Provident version) and it stinks of BO so has obviously not been washed ! (Yes, even God's get smelly armpits) ! I assumed that if it was washed then it would be devalued but maybe I'm wrong ? His mother has tried to wash it several times as she reckons it will disintegrate over time although we think that she just can't live with the thought of anything even remotely unhygenic !!

I think that you are about right but it's quite poor considering that I just read that Norwich have already sold 18k ! I reckon that the number of ST's could improve dramatically if a) the new owners look potentially exciting, b) they price the tickets at a bargain level (average under £300) ?? Would be nice to get a bit of atmosphere cos the place can be a morgue when half full !

Rupert has a fundamental misunderstanding of the importance of relationships ! The football club is an institution within the city and as such the supporters, the media and indeed, the main sponsor are all absolutely vital to the cause ! To have sour relations with all 3 groups is unforgivable and was gauranteed to spell disaster as inevitably it did ! Whatever one's opinion of LM and LC may be, at least they realise that communication between the club, the fans, the Echo and (I imagine) Flybe are supremely important, something which the deluded Mr Lowe clearly does not grasp !

I now have visions of 'ze seagulls folowing ze trawlers' but I think I'll just clutch the 50%+ straw and hope for the best ! Keep taking the pills everyone and enjoy the ride !!!

You worry me FF, as one of the more informed guys on here, you do not seem convinced that we will extricate ourselves from the mess of administration ! The alternative is not something that I have seriously considered, perhaps because I am in denial, but please give me hope not despair !!
