After a 9 hour journey (including a 3 hour delay courtesy of the incompetent Wightlink!) we arrived home just as the official news broke ! Knackered as I was I couldn't help but read every article 3 times just to be sure ! I watched Mark Fry on video, Tony Husband on the box, and SSN going round and round again just to make sure ! I look forward now to 8/8 when we play Millwall (bring on the footy), all I need is the matchday buzz and maybe, just maybe we are on the up again ! Danke schoen Markus, ich bin zufrieden! Markus Liebherr can do exactly as he pleases from now on in ! It is a private company and personally I am not concerned how he organises his finances nor who he brings in on the company side of things ! The critical issue for me (as a football fan) is that we have a good manager, good players, attractive play, good results and (consequently) big crowds and a good atmosphere ! I am sick and fed up with boardrooms, takeovers, infighting, tyrekickers, debts, deadlines, rumours etc, etc, etc.......... Game on, bring on the Millwall !!

To be fair to MW he has stuck with us through a particularly difficult time but I can't help thinking that he might not have too many other options !!!

I do think that we should accept -10 and move on, mainly because we will never win against a bunch of suits who are chock full of their own self importance ! However, I am not in favour of their 'one size fits all' penalty for administration. The Leicester example is a good one as to why you should be punished but in other cases (including Saints) you can bend over backwards to minimise your difficulties (often caused as a direct result of relegation) by lending out star players etc.. to rival teams and gain no advantage at all ! I don't see how -10 gives the same penalty to Saints and Stockport either, they stay where they are, we start next season with a deficit ! In effect I am saying that the FL rule could be much better if applied to individual cases rather thanbeing automatic !

I guess that he will be sold for less than we got so that probably means we'd get b*gger all anyway !!

Whatever one's view of Matt's role in this aborted takeover bid, I do hope that they will not confuse his judgement with his passion and his motives ! I am certain that tonight he is eating up inside with genuine anguish and more than likely won't sleep a wink ! The situation unfolded over weeks, it went from hope and anticipation to frustration and (ultimately) grief but anyone who questions his dedication to the cause is completely deluded and has no understanding of what the man is all about ! I beg you please to get off his back and support the cause that (he and) we all hold dear !

If the Swiss were ever concerned about upsetting the fanbase by challenging the MLT backed bid (which I seriously doubt) then now it is easy, no ? Just to summarize the thread so far : A (classy as f*ck) chick with nice tanned legs was seen at SMS getting out of a gas guzzler with a Swiss reg plate (ZH 33) which is registered as a police boat belonging to a vegetable farmer ! I'm seriously beginning to think that we are on the cusp of a sensational takeover after all ! Bring it on..............
