I heard a while ago (from a non Saints related source) that Souness was very serious about a bid with a consortium (I think possibly with some Italian money?). He was (and is) the favourite to succeed from what I've heard ! If it's right, you heard it here first ! If it's wrong, ooh eck, don't blame me !

Pretty much agree with all of that but am a little concerned about having 4 interested parties. In essence an auction could drive the buying price up, meaning less to spend on the team thereafter. If there was only one party then they could probably dictate the price and move on quickly to rebuid the squad !!

IMO Lallana is half a footballer. Strengths -Two footed, skillful, clever, tricky, good dribbler ! Weaknesses - Can't shoot, doesn't score, can't cross, not pacy ! It is possible that he would show better in a top team but I feel that he'll need a good mentor to improve his overall game !
