  1. Is this 'debt free' announcement as watertight as the last one made by the chairman a year or so ago? If so, it won't even need a nutjob forensic investigation to pick it apart ! I look forward to the unraveling of the detail in due course as ever!!
  2. "There are none so blind as those who will not see", I'm afraid Wurzel that you'll never convince the lefties that conspiracy theories don't exist in every innocent situation ! Maybe they should be more concerned about Prezza and his Chumbawumba comment but I suppose they'll put that down to " Ha ha, that's Prezza, what's he like, eh? Daft as a brush he is ! God forbid that a Tory or Ukipper had said something similar, the do-gooders would have gone into meltdown !!
  3. I guess that if you don't like golf anyway then there is almost no chance that you'll 'get it' ! For people like me though it is the 'greatest show on Earth', I just love it and find it utterly enthralling ! No surprise that there are differing opinions but I cannot wait for the next one in two years time at Hazeltine in Minnesota ! Bring it on.....
  4. Have to disagree on that one, Toby was calm throughout and never put a foot wrong while Jose played with his usual robust approach. Sure, QPR came at us late on but I thought that we withstood it well. Only problem seemed to be that we sat too deep during that period but I guess that was a team thing rather than just a CB issue ! All in my own opinion of course !
  5. I started reading this thread without realising that it was so old until I saw the names of Dune and Deppo ! Them wos the days, eh
  6. 10 - 6 Reckon we have enough to get the 4 points we need! COE !!
  7. God forbid that he has a couple of poor games then the arseholes will boo him again (Grrr...) ! We can be a fickle bunch at times!!
  8. Sh#t draw TBH, they are strong at home and won't play a weakened team unlike some of the top sides ! Was really hoping for a home game but c'est la vie, if we are to win it we have to overcome these obstacles !!
  9. Absolutely this ! No individual is bigger than the club and the most recent departees thought only of themselves, not the club ! Coming back is seldom a good option anyway but I would rule it out regardless !!
  10. Feck me, I met another one yesterday, we are all over the place
  11. Deep joy
  12. A strange time to come up with this (a couple of weeks after the transfer window closed!) which suggests to me that someone is just trying to fill column inches !
  13. My daughter and son-in-law met the Pardew family on holiday in Portugal and said that he was a perfectly normal human being, courteous even ! I'd be amazed if he actually said what Gutierrez has alleged, it just doesn't figure !

    Adidas

Not sure how pitchside advertising is apportioned but Adidas have a contract with Sports Direct so it could have been directed at the opposition or the television audience rather than anything to do with the Saints or a kit deal ?
  15. The 'club' is greater by far than any individual, no matter how big their contribution ! This will always be the case ! Our thanks will always reach out to Ted, Lawrie, Matt, Markus and many others but in the final reckoning it will always be the 'club' ! Right now we are in a good place with good people at the helm, but whatever happens in the future the 'club' will always be the 'club' and real fans will always stay with that principle !

To the tune of 'That's Amore' : "When the ball hits the net, you can f*cking well bet, Graziano... Graziano... He is Italian after all
  17. Let's hope that the Long injury is Short
  18. A measured reply, thank you. My original point was only that Cameron was forced to concede to a referendum because SNP held a majority in the Scottish parliament and that in my opinion they reached this point due to Labour's policy of appeasement over a number of years ! Sadly I cannot take further part in this debate as I am off on a golfing holiday with my rich Tory friends Enjoy......
  19. Bloody hell, criticism of the Labour Party in Scotland automatically puts me down as a 'right winger' and a 'blinkered blue' ! Nice to be involved in a civilised debate on democracy !
  20. Strange reply, I guess that you have an anti New Labour agenda as well as an anti Tory one Balanced view I suppose but you really have lost me now so I give up !
  21. As opposed to poor guys like Blair, Mandelson and Brown who ennobled the poor bankers like Fred Goodwin and brought the country to it's knees ! Politics of envy I'm afraid with a large dose of hypocrisy thrown in, anyway that's for another day, this thread is about the independence referendum and I live in the desperate hope of a NO vote !
  22. I wouldn't know where to start with your rants v the Tories so I won't even try ! Cameron had no choice about the referendum once the SNP achieved a majority in the Scottish Parliament and IMO this was due to the incompetence of the Labour Party in Scotland, they displayed their weakness with concessions which fell nicely into the lap of the nationalists ! Anyway Pap, as I said it's not personal but if you don't have an anti Tory agenda then I am a Skate living at the bottom of the sea :)
  23. Kind of proves my point about 'short term' thinking, we had 13 years of labour government but all of a sudden it's all the fault of the Tories ! Surely total and irrevocable separation after 300 years should be about more than just the dislike of a passing government (which just happens to be a coalition at the moment!).
  24. Makes me laugh that some (mainly Pap!) are blaming Cameron and his party for the surge in SNP popularity ! The Tories do not exist in Scotland and have not been a force for many years, Labour have bent over backwards to preserve votes by handing out benefits, concessions and subsidies across the board which has been counter productive in the extreme ! The more that has been given (the Scottish Parliament being the prime example), the more that is demanded ! Scotland is a hotbed of socialism and right now there is a race to the bottom between Labour and the SNP as to who can offer the biggest handouts ! I smile when I watch debates about the 'bedroom tax', child poverty etc.. because these are very short term political issues and bear little relevance to the wider (and final !) prospect of total separation ! The fact is that neither SNP nor Labour could run a sweetie shop and economic ruin is a distinct possibility ! Whatever the result, and I pray that the vote is 'NO', IMHO it has little or nothing to do with David Cameron and the Conservative party ! Ps. PAP, nothing personal to you but I feel that your anti Tory agenda is colouring your viewpoint somewhat on this subject !
  25. It ill behoves me to say this but sadly we have a number of arseholes on our main board who do exactly the same thing ! Lose a couple of games and the vitriol doesn't take long to get into full swing ! There are also many who say 'would of ', 'could of ' and 'should of ' especially when we 'loose'
