No, you can't Stu. So you can't say "this is disgraceful, there are a minority of people who rely on the Echo to get their Saints news" and then say, "the majority don't give a toss about a news article about the training ground, why are the club so bothered".
-
I completely agree with you. I know someone who used to get a lot of info from someone at the club, that "insider" has since said he can no longer tell him anything and my mate has just made his mind up that Cortese is the devil.
-
If we're not in the top 3 by Christmas, I will start a "Pardew out" thread just for you. How's that?
-
Agree with this, but I thought Stanley had been banned? Who is he posting as now?
-
FFS the Echo will still report on Saints news anyway, if they wanted to be the "official local paper of Southampton Football Club" then maybe they should have respected it's request. And personally I don't think they are banned. As someone else said, there were posters for them up around St Marys and they were selling them again for the second half of the season. Maybe we should wait until saturday and see if the sellers are at the ground?

Unfortunately the previously mentioned decline in the quality of debate on this website dates to when the £5 subscription fee was brought in.
-
If they want to scrap it then there's no real issue for me. They could at least tell us though.

Of course he isn't, but criticising him for something that hasn't happened, and is only rumoured to be happening in the future is just plain silly.

Take a picture of whatever the f*ck you've been drinking. I want some. -
No mention of reading match on sky sports news?!?

The match didn't really happen. -
Why were so many of our "best first XI" in the league missing ?

How ironic. If my crutch is well worn, you must be on your fifth replacement by now. -

Well i'm not going to discuss training/ongoing transfers as we have no f*cking idea what's actually going on behind the scenes. Seeing as you've started another one of these threads though Alpine, I fully expect a new CM to be unveiled on the website tonight. -

I agree that the results have been sh*t, however I don't think they make a jot of difference. -

Personally I don't think the injuries were serious, just that we weren't going to risk them for a completely meaningless friendly. -

You think we should have 3 players for each position who can all perform at the same level. It ain't gonna happen. At any club, ever. -

There is no-one out there who would come to league one who could replace those two. No-one. Someone might be able to do the same kind of things as them, but at a much, much lower level of quality. -

Why exactly should we be so different? Should we go back to the good old days of having huge squads that can cover any injury crisis? That really served us well. -

Take Austin, Douglas, Cuthbert and Prutton out the Swindon side. See how good they look then. Take Rhodes, Clarke, Smithies and Peltier out the Huddersfield side. See how good they look then. Take Morrison, Beevers, Johnson and Hinds out the Wednesday side. Etc etc. It's the same for EVERY club in the league - take four of their best players, and they will look nowhere near their best. Especially against a team in a higher league. -
You'll get all those, after Lambert has nodded the ball down
-
Why not, if it works? Lambert nodding it down for Lallana, Puncheon, Barnard or Connolly = lots of goals.
-
This is a thread about Saints, can we please not discuss Pompey and their star player.

Relentless pounding down the wings will be the way me thinks.

I think that's just Premiership arrogance rather than reliable info. -

And looks like he could be a threat in the opposition penalty area from corners/freekicks. -

Someone actually spent the time to make a video of the highlights of ONE player playing in a pre season friendly. Dear god.
