Yeah I will be amazed if he plays against Liverpool at all, I wouldn't trust him to put in a professional performance.
-
If you have the rail at the back of the step (which it needs to be anyway to attach the seat) rather than the front of the step, then there's definitely enough room.
-
What do you mean before Puel didn't pick him? He was first choice up front from the first game of the season!
-
Yep, the stats would indicate you're actually much better off just taking it short and playing on as normal.
-
Wasn't it around this time last season that Austin got injured and the goals dried up as a result? Amazing that people are slating him now.
-
Interestingly I noticed we had more shots on goal (14) and the same amount of shots on target (4) as Man United. I certainly don't remember many, other than the Romeu and Redmond shots.
-
Been awful all season, needs dropping as i'm starting to think he's just gotten complacent as a seemingly guaranteed starter.
-
We've played a lot better with Long up front on his own rather than Gabbiadini. I like Gabbi, but he should never start on his own again - unless we're working on his link up play in training.
-
Ref had a shocker at the end there, had the stopwatch on my phone...we played 1 minute 40 seconds of football after the injury board went up. Disgrace.
-
Should have started van dijk.

Actually the majority can keep time, it's just when the dinlos way behind me in block 42 join in that it goes to pot. When chants start down the front, or in the Kingsland, or over in the Itchen they keep the right pace.
-
Not in the sense of "we're going to murder all of your players". Just actually making a lot of noise when chanting and keeping it going, rather than it just petering out after two renditions. The Wanyama chant away to Arnhem is a good example.

Club should offer to trial safe standing immediately. We probably can't do it in the Northam - people get moved from there for cup games - so do it in the Kingsland/Northam corner instead.
-
Not sure why people keep saying Tadic had a shot for the goal, he was crossing it with pace and the keeper tried to push it away from goal.
-
In all honestly, I can't see him leaving the club at all, let alone within the next 3-5 years.
-
I agree, although he is now the same age Mane was in his second season with us so it's not entirely unfair to compare them. However just because he has a few years to develop yet doesn't mean he should be immune to criticism and I still maintain that dropping him for a few games would benefit him.
-
He needs some time out of the spotlight for me, doesn't look right (maybe a confidence thing) so drop him down to the bench for a few games. He just isn't taking players on the same way he was last season. I do wish we'd play him on the right and Tadic on the left to try and get them crossing with their stronger feet...
-
Martina was nowhere near as bad for us as people made out, actually had a good game yesterday. Was certainly strange seeing him and Rooney in the same team though...
-
Ah yeah, very good! Second line could do with changing, reckon it'd work better as; Mario, Mario Lemina, Mario, he's a great midfielder, Mario, Never gives the ball awayyy...
-
Saints fans are at the side of the pitch so what does that matter?
-
What is it? Didn't come across on the tv.
-
Because we're still not quite clicking in an attacking sense. Why wait when you can be proactive and change something to potentially play better?

With Van Dijk coming on late V Palace it's looking possible that we are going to be switching to three at the back - OK it didn't work V Wolves, but I have a feeling it's the formation our players are best suited to, and here are some of the reasons. We have four centrebacks who are all capable of being starters for a top half team. Bertrand and Cedric would be freed up to push further forward more often, which would benefit our attacking play because... Our current first choice wingers/wide players - Redmond and Tadic - haven't been in great form for us so far. It means being able to play two strikers at a time, which is what Gabbiadini needs. He doesn't suit playing on his own as he doesn't win headers, hold the ball up or run the channels very well. He is a fantastic finisher though and so if we can get him involved, we should - alongside Long (great in the air, runs the channels well) or Austin (good in the air, holds the ball up very well). It gives Lemina and Romeu more license to run forward knowing there is ample cover behind them, adding another dimension to our attack. Thoughts? I know people might be put off after the Wolves game, but I also remember it working very well for us under Koeman for a bit.

All started from us passing back when we were breaking away, leaving 4 players beyond the ball.

I think i'd like to see Redmond and Tadic on their stronger sides. ......and after that I want Redmond subbed, he has been awful all season.
