  1. Crikey, even Turkish is finally buying into it! I have to say the players reactions today show a lot. It was always a worry that when we were trying to push on for the next level our big money players might not have the same affinity with the rest of the squad (or the club as a whole) as the old guard do. But Lovren is well into it, and the way Wanyama reacted when Lambert slammed that penalty home was amazing. I think Wanyama in particular would have been surprised at just how loud/passionate our fans were today.
  2. It was Millwall 2 seasons ago. Two penalties to equalise and win.
  3. Promising to see Chambers looking so comfortable as well.
  4. Nah, he was a couple of inches off. Still very harsh though considering the offside decisions that don't get given sometimes.
  5. There was an article I read the other day that said less than 3% of corners result in a goal. Our corners actually HAVE been a lot better today, Ward-Prowses set pieces are very good.
  6. Didn't Yoshida play the full game whereas Ramirez didn't get off the bench?
  7. In fact, some of the ones inside the top 6 aren't that much better...
  8. Take a look at 3rd and 4th choice CBs at the clubs outside the top 6, they're no better.
  9. No, it doesn't. Mayuka will surprise a lot of people and once Yoshida is back Hooiveld will be 4th choice, which he is easily good enough for.
  10. Other than his shooting technique and cracking free-kicks in England/pre-season videos?
  11. I'm not, looks like he could turn into a great goalscoring midfielder. Reminds me a lot of Lampard.
  12. Originally they asked for this, but it was printed horizontally.
  13. Yes, but in a squad that only has 2 full-backs? Baines and Cole ahead of Shaw, Walker and Johnson ahead of Clyne. As for Cork at CB, that's a terrible attempt at trolling.
  14. Agree with this. All of those could eventually be good enough (apart from Puncheon) but are not there yet. Closest I'd say is Clyne, if Johnson and Walker have sh*te seasons.
  15. So is this happening then? I think I last visited when we were on page 4.
  16. Something that will get better with experience, unfortunately we can do nothing but wait there. The goal we conceded away to Wigan still infuriates me, what on earth was he doing...that win would have been massive.
  17. Thing is, you look at who's available and this actually does make the most sense. Hopefully Carroll has a sh*t season even by his standards so Woy really has no excuse.
  18. He had ligament damage halfway through last season and has been training with Baggies this summer. Not sure he'll be fully fit for another month or so.
  19. Aside from Lambert I'm actually liking the way England are starting to shape up. Bring Carrick in for Gerrard, Forster in for Hart and Lambert in for Rooney and that's a decent outfit. Centreback is a cause for concern - hoping Caulker has an outstanding season, as we need new blood from somewhere - but I'm optimistic that we can get to Brazil and give it a good go.
  20. Total rubbish. He is good enough as second choice left back for a mid to lower Prem team.
  21. Said exactly the same thing, the players seemed to go a little extra mental compared to the other two goals.
