  1. Pompeys first four fixtures by comparison; Sat 18: BOURNEMOUTH (H)Tue 21: Colchester (A) Sat 25: Carlisle (A) Sat 1: OLDHAM (H) Jesus
  2. I'm more worried about when Sky will move some around now than I was for the actual fixtures being released. Need to know for work.
  3. Indeed he did (well, Saints > Weymouth > Dorch), but I thought he might have got the details mixed up.
  4. Kyle Critchell?
  5. Not only this, but have you heard the majority of atmospheres in the Prem? Over the last few years Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal just off the top of my head have been awful for atmosphere.
  6. When he was playing for England? I really don't believe that.
  7. Wouldn't be as bad as everyone thinks - remember that when he was "p*ss poor" for West Ham he was actually a regular in the England squad, including scoring a goal in the World Cup! Pretty sure he's only 32/33 as well despite seeming like he's been around since the 1940s.
  8. This remains the greatest name for a football team I've ever found; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangerous_Darkies
  9. Seriously? Milner I can understand, and Young possibly...but Welbecks movement has been brilliant. The match overall has been pretty even I reckon.
  10. Welbeck has been very good so far.
  11. No, but everyone talks about England choking at major tournaments "discounting" how good we usually are in qualifying. What's the difference there then? The team that day; Foster, Jagielka, Gibbs (Warnock), Ferdinand (Richards), Lescott, Gerrard (Crouch), Walcott (Johnson), Henderson, Barry (Young), Milner, Carroll (Bothroyd).
  12. I agree, but there's no reason we can't utilise them both. Walcott would have been such a better player if he'd been kept up front rather than moved out wide, his hit and miss crossing wouldn't even be an issue then.
  13. Not sure why everyone is so afraid of France, their attacking players went missing in 2010 worse than any of our squad. Reckon we'll win 2-0. Welbeck and Gerrard.
  14. I have confidence in Hooiveld, but Fonte would worry me as first choice in the Prem. Love to be proved wrong, obviously.
  15. Interesting. I thought this was really going to be Walcotts big chance.
  16. Rule Britannia tune; Jay Rodriguez, Rodriguez for the Saints, Gets the ball and then he's gonna score again. (Repeat). Second line sucks but at least it's a genuine (original) attempt, rather than just sarcastically taking the p*ss whilst offering no alternatives.
  17. Suarez' scoring record is nowhere near Van Nistelrooys, AFAIK.
  18. O'Hara seems to enjoy being the "saviour" of a struggling team. Not sure he'd fit in with our group. Davies is a great shout though. Holden as mentioned above is another - but his fitness would be a doubt for me.
  19. "Premiership experience" has never made any sense to me. A game of football is a game of football at any level, there isn't different formulas for winning games in different divisions. Experience makes a difference when you refer to specific situations - cup runs, relegation battles, promotion/title chases. But player A won't necessarily be better than player B just because he's got a few more years experience of playing in the Prem if he was always in a midtable side.
  20. International football is much better than people think - even Greece the other day, arguably the worst team in the competition, were playing some good stuff. Having said that everyone who's said we would beat a few teams is obviously on a wind up, can't believe some people fell for it.
  21. No proper badge for Saints anymore though...
  22. It'll be embarrassing seeing the attendance for the Wolves game. They should make that one under a fiver to get in, tenner for Udinese and Ajax and then £15 for the tournament.
  23. Have they said for certain that Di Matteo won't get the job? Chances are they're just negotiating a managers contract for him. Plus, Mata also plays central just behind the striker and Sturridge plays up front. They're a very interchangeable team.
  24. I think it's more to do with families happiness than their own when players move based on location.
  25. Heaven forbid we should have to interact with another human being.
