Trouble with those examples is that they're often caused by simple misunderstandings or lack of research on the part of one of the companies. Nothing of the sort here - work was done and we refused to pay with no reason given whatsoever. Now if, as had been suggested, the company didn't complete the work in the agreed upon timeframe then that is a valid reason - but to not turn up in court suggests that this wasn't the case.
