I would say he did get something. A roof over his head for 5 years. I think the fair way has already been suggested. Value the property and give him half the profit. He can't just have all his money back that he paid in. What sense does that make?

I think you've completely misunderstood the point of the thread. The 'pray for Jay' title was because that is the name of the group on facebook set up by his friends that has attracted support from over 1000 people. I started the thread to bring the fund raiser to peoples attention. Especially those who may know his but haven't seen this sad news yet. Also to write good wishes if people feel like it. that's all, no need to get your knickers in a twist

Such great memories of this day. I was 13 at the time and had been a STH for about 7-8 years. I hadn't been to many away games so only really knew The Dell, and had always watched a team that included MLT. Little did I know at the time how much I took both for granted. My best memory of the day was being at the front of the west stand next to the photographers pen in the corner from 85 minutes onwards, hoping to get a good view of the lap of honour. Saw the ball go forward and then a shot end up in the back of the net. I had no idea it was Matty that scored but got bundled over the wall. I ran towards the Archers and at the same time someone from the Archers came running towards me, we shared a flying hug by the corner flag. I managed to get back into the front of the west stand and it felt like I was there for about 10 seconds before the final whistle went and I was back on the pitch again. A great day. I wish I was a bit older so I could have taken more of it in, but glad I still got to experience The Dell.

Swearing when you miss a shot or get hacked down, that's fine IMO. Doing it directly at a camera when you KNOW you are being directly filmed and can be heard, totally wrong. Deserves punishment. May not be related, but I was in Torquay the other day and saw 3 kids about 11-12 years old. If that. They were walking around going 'go on, shout fu.ck' then one of them would, and they'd all burst out laughing. They must have learned that somewhere, maybe from watching their hero Rooney?
