Maybe I was not quite clear in my previous post. I did intend the question mark to also indicate I was questioning the reason for the celebration. It is just that I know we got home at 4am as I have a receipt from a taxi company and I know we left the pub at 11:15pm as that is the time on the bar bill. I know we drew with Stoke I have a photo of a gang of us sitting at Eric's bar with a Saturday time/date stamp and so clearly a gang of us went to Eric's for a celebration. I cannot for the life of me remember anything else in between those two moments. I merely assume it was to celebrate the point. Last I heard EoA was in intensive care so no doubt he'll be back on line soon and he may remember wtf it was all about.

Better late than never I suppose. So we were a mess today - EoA's son announced his engagement to his (coincidentally) Polish GF after the match yesterday in the pub. So sluggish is the word for today after the whole instant party last night & most of this morning. So that meant we were random Channel Hopping and landed on Discovery Channel - Dynamo Magician Impossible - seems to be S3 & he was in Ibiza... OK I know all these things are stunts/gags/tricks but hey, it is still pretty ******* amazing. I've seen mention of him on TMS somewhere before but must say he is bloody good at whatever the hell it is that he does to turn a fountain in Ibiza into Ice or fuse back stage passes together. Now set on Series record. Excellent understated stuff Cannot quite work out why he is on Discovery though. Thought that was all Science/Nature stuff. Lucky for us I guess

One possible critique of MP yesterday was that we did seem to run out of steam in the last 10 minutes. Gaston gave us something extra but some of the players seemed to be blowing and we were not hunting in packs. The opinion in the pub watching the game was that perhaps Davies's fresh legs for JWP might have made a difference. Even the mighty VW was shown after another lung busting chase-down to be having to push himself to get back into position.
