Winter must be coming... Simon Cowell is back with X Factor USA series 3. Somehow Simon really is the King of these things. His put down lines are getting better Also think they have tweaked it a bit in the editing to actually be more self deprecating and actually lolage at times. They sure do find peeps that can actually SING over there which I guess would come as a shock to anyone that watches the UK version. There IS one thing I am uneasy with though. So far in the auditions we have seen two performers with disabilities, one physical and one with Tourette's. I have absolutely no problem with them getting their chance and Wow they were good. The young lass Rion's audition was kind of Susan Boyle - in such an emotional tear jerking awesome way (go google yourselves I'm sure it is up there on You Tube) - It just worries me that a kid like her or one with a mental issue can get all built up and then have to face the eventual heartbreak of being voted off. (Because while they were "Amazing" and "Heroic" and "Talented as hell" they won't fit the greater USA's template of what a Karaoke show winner should look or act like. (and others WERE better). I may be wrong and it would be amazing for young Rion, but... Good that they allow all comers, but just uneasy and hope the kids don't suffer later on. But damn it Cowell is really good at what he does. The eye Candy alongside him ain't bad either

Yep still pretty much the case. Although the guys here at Dxb Int tend to only do a quick flick through the passport. However, anyone who travels will know that in fact you can either 1) ask Israeli Passport Control NOT to stamp your passport. They stamp a piece of paper. or 2) Go to the Passport Office and they will give you a SECOND passport (yep even UK.Gov tell you that you can only have ONE active passport and then will issue a second for this reason - not very PC that eh! ) Jewish people WILL be allowed in, the days of a Western Passport stating Religion have long gone. Lot of Jewish Brits live & work down here, I have a Spurs supporting Son In Law who comes and goes without any troubles whatsoever. For those with residence visas, they have to occassionally be Pragmatic and say they are Christian on a form for a Booze Licence for example (but then there are only two choices - Muslim or Christian so even the Hindu's & Buddhists tick the box that gets them Booze, not the other one!) This part of the World has a lovely way of managing these types of "rules" they simply don't enforce them. That is such a Brit Culture thing! The ONLY time a Gay couple will get into trouble for sharing a room is IF they have been stupid and had a drunken punch up in public, had a crash while drunk driving, given a Local the Finger or simply been STUPID. A Journo will write some article about Gays being arrested but down in the small print there will be the "What they did that was very wrong" - Urinating in Public - that they got arrested for in the first place, THEN there will be a list of 25 other offences to be taken into consideration that you would see in a UK court. FIFA will have full coffers, their Leadership will have retirement plans the matches will be given atmosphere (in FIFA's eyes) by the 2022 version of the Vuvuzeula or whatever it was called. The WC has been Bullsh1t since after France 98, Christ, even in Germany in 06 we had to stay in Holland as it was such a rip off. (Oh and yes you CAN get beer in Qatar.) Mate, they won't even let you on the plane. They know what will happen when you land and won't put anyone at risk as you could sue the Airline Oh it will get better. There are no hotels. There are no Restaurants. They say they will build them, but the contracts only go to Qatari Owned Companies (see Asian Games). Qatari Companies then sub contract to Specialist Companies. Then they do not PAY them. I know of MANY Companies suing Qatar for the Asian Games and other events. And for the EU fans? US$1500 a night for a hotel room. IF we are still here and IF we aren't any more sh1t than we currently are we can at least commute using Fly Dubai or Air Arabia. Actually it would be the best solution for EU fans TBH

Well, it's been just over a week now since we stayed over with my Daughter & her Hubby. Girls talked themselves to death over a huge Chinese Takeaway and then by 8:45pm had both passed out. That left me & S-i-L scrabbling around on Sky for something to watch... And so we came upon a movie that Eric (I HATE you for this) had often mentioned...... So we tuned in sat back and watched Dirty Sanchez, The Movie. It took a week before I could write this review 'coz until now EVERY time I've thought about it I've wanted to vomit. I mean REALLY? Jackass was beyond Gross at times, but to OUT GROSS Jackass? Our first thought was WHY? There are parts of Sanchez that simply defied belief. Whether some of the gags were actually real or not I'll never know, but if they WERE staged then who the hell comes up with that stuff? The PROBLEM with the damned film is that at some points we truly did want to Vomit and honestly we could not watch and came close to switching the TV off. And then at other times we laughed. And THAT is what bugs the hell out of me. Anyways, here is my review.. FFS DON'T let your Misses/Kids watch it. And IF you have to watch it, invite some mates round, have a few beers first and a barf bag close at hand. A Guilty Laugh & a Good Vomit. Not the kind of thing you really want from an evenings Entertainment. We sure as hell won't forget it though and I'm sadly glad I managed to watch 95% of it.
