  1. I think we have to play Redmond after his performance in the last match. Plus he's been here throughout the international break no doubt working on stuff for the Burnley game. Whether he's up top again or playing as a 10 I'm not sure, and I guess depends on other players fitness.

That was the case here for LFT's done during the first 2 weeks in school before they moved to home tests. Anyone who has a positive LFT from one of these then has a PCR test to confirm the original. Hamble have had 1 positive test since they went back and that was a false positive LFT. Unless North Somerset are still doing the tests in school I can't see why the rules wouldn't be the same there.
  3. Sholing had 300 in for an FA Cup game in their tiny stadium yet they can't get more than 4000 into Wembley. It's an absolute joke. Just let 20000 go, it will be perfectly fine.
  4. Some people are racist, we know that. But it's not everywhere and if the report had come to that conclusion I'm sure pretty much everyone would have said it was a bunch of horseshit.
  5. Unless I had read a good deal of the report and then looked at the take on it by a few different media outlets it would be a bit churlish to have a solid opinion either way.
  6. Are people saying that Government reports are always correct? I haven't read enough on this one to comment but you can't just decide it was 100% factual because it suits your agenda. It's not like there aren't examples of previous reports that have been incorrect.
  7. Reckon it will be schools and families. Easier to socially distance groups of people than a load of individuals. Atmosphere will be electric.

Would be good if it was deaths of people who were vaccinated over 2 weeks ago. Judging by the massive drop in deaths there surely can't be many who have died after having it?
  9. That's some achievement. He still needs about another 60 caps to break the all time record, in which case he'll have to play until the age of 55 because he must be at least 47 already!
  10. What record is that? Number of caps for a UK player?
  11. Not everyone at the recent protests are the same as the stoned bloke, vice versa with the drunk bloke at the EDL march. There are a number of stupid people on all sides. We're surely all intelligent enough to realise one person's views don't necessarily exactly represent those of their fellow protesters. It's like saying all Saints fans believe every secondary school child has to have 2 Covid tests a week because Weston said so on the other thread.
  12. Haha, let's interview this bloke who is completely stoned and see how much sense he makes.

As I said above they don't have to do them anyway. The tests they are doing are my kids school are LFT, if it comes out positive they do a PCR test. At least half of these confirm the original LFT as negative.

Kids don't HAVE to have one or TWO tests per week at all. During the first 2 weeks at school they had a couple a week under supervision. These were not mandatory however most kids did them. Since then they have been given home testing kits which are completely voluntary. Our kids haven't used them once. Therefore no child HAS been forced to do even ONE test since returning if they didn't want to. I just asked my kids and they said hardly any of their friends are doing them now.

There has been some concession at local level to vaccinating keyworkers. I've never seen it mentioned as part of the Government plan, however my other half was jabbed ages ago because Southampton just did all the teachers and staff at Special Needs schools. Loads of the police officers and staff have been done here too now. We've been hoovering up any jabs that would have been wasted. When I went last week I saw more people from work than when I'm actually at work. So while it's not official policy there have definitely been moves by local NHS to get some groups of people done due to their work and regardless of age. I guess it's easier to ring a school or a control room and say "we've got 50 spare jabs, can you get people here within a few hours" than it is for a receptionist to ring individual patients from their surgery.
  16. I had to piss in a plastic bottle while sat in a car full of people on the way home because I was absolutely hammered and we were stuck in traffic. Great memories.

Just had my jab. Got a phone call asking if I could go this afternoon so obviously said yes.
  19. I don't know of that many local kids who Chelsea have offered youth terms to. Most are at Saints, Pompey, Bournemouth or Brighton. Reading seem to hoover up a lot of the northern Hampshire kids. Seems to be a strong area, a lot of the Hampshire schoolboys are from up that way. Chelsea are probably the most active in that they scout extensively and invite a bunch of kids up to Cobham for 6 weeks at a time to have a look at them. A few kids from my son's team went but they didn't invite the best player who is now at Saints. He plays U15 & U16 for them and their results are decent, and they certainly don't get hammered like the older age groups have been this season. It's a strange thing the whole academy business. There's some insanely good players who have been let go and are now playing JPL or Tyro which makes you stop and think about how ridiculously good you have to be to get through the system.
  20. That was a pretty different team to the one that played in the last round, presumably because a lot of the U18's are now in the U23's. Didn't watch the game myself so can't comment on the performance.
  21. That was the reason he moved up North. He's not allowed anywhere south of Oxford now.

As someone who doesn't often go on holiday I completely agree. I'm more than happy with spending the summer at festivals and being able to go to gigs and football again. However if Saints qualified for Europe and we couldn't go to the away legs that would piss me right off!
  23. Agree with Noodles, it needs more structure and a bit of editing. Break it down into segments and talk about one thing at a time. Personally I think anything over 45 minutes is pushing it, especially if it's going to be made on a regular basis. The main thing is to get a different angle to other, more established podcasts. You're both obviously very passionate and know your stuff, fair play for giving it a go.
  24. Better or worse than selfie sticks at a match? Give the little kids their due, at least they were celebrating properly. Some of the adults might as well have been watching MasterChef. If you are going to do something like this then may as well just have kids on it.
  25. Them and Serco. They're pretty much running the country already.
