  1. Was a reasonable decision at the time. I imagine his experience and attitude are also useful behind the scenes. Players can have other positive influences within a club besides what happens on the pitch.

Have you seen Utopia? Was a C4 series a while back which was based on a graphic novel. Thee story unravels over 2 series to a point where a "Russian Flu" epidemic is addressed by the government with a vaccine. If you haven't watched it I'm not going to say what happens. Apparently there's a crap US remake on Amazon now but the original is one of my favourite shows of the last 10 years and features one of the most horrifyingly nasty TV bad guy performances by Neil Maskell.
  3. At least we're getting in leading positions rather than just going 2-0 down and losing with a whimper. Once we sort out how to regularly close out games against the top teams we'll be in a very strong position.
  4. Well that was annoying
  5. The stream I have spent a load of time ignoring our game and talking about Jose Mourinho
  6. There's loads of streams here https://reddiit.soccerstreams.net/event/southampton-manchester-united-live-stream/557462
  7. Stream I'm just watching said Fernandes got a small injury in the warm up. Not sure if it means anything but might be worth an early reducer from Romeu.
  8. Did Carillo play with Mbappe at Monaco?
  9. I watched the first 10 minutes of the first episode of Game of Thrones and gave up. Not really my thing. No idea if it's good or not though. Lost was one show that everyone seemed to love that I thought was crap.

Were we really in lockdown that long? Wow, I thought we were out before then. Oh well. I guess the point about when the exemption to protests was changed is still pertinent.

There was no lockdown when the BLM protests were taking place. Social distancing was a thing but we weren't in the same place then. I guess that would be the counterargument. I'm unsure as to when the possible change to the exemption rule was introduced. Was it before the first wave of protests or after? It definitely doesn't help when things aren't clear and even lawyers are arguing over it.
  12. Pompey through to the FA Cup 3rd round which opens up the slim possibility of another derby.
  13. Allardyce always came across as a bit of a tool.

The Met seem to have got themselves confused between whether protests are allowed in a lockdown or not. If they aren't then they are within their rights to arrest anyone doing that. If protests are allowed then they've messed up and should have taken the same line they did earlier in the summer. There's some info about it at the bottom of this article https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/nov/28/met-police-anti-lockdown-protest-london
  15. Should be an absolutely great game when we play them.
  16. If he wants to give a player a rest pick someone else instead.
  17. Everton's bubble totally burst now. 4 points from their last 6 games and 3 of them were against Fulham. They have Burnley next so should win that at a canter but it's all change since we beat them comfortably at St Mary's.
  18. Weird double post 2 hours apart.
  19. Amazon. Buy your stuff from other shops, there are plenty of them. You never know some of them might actually pay tax and treat their workers well. Spotify or any streaming service which isn't Bandcamp. The artists get bugger all otherwise.
  20. I've mostly been listening to all the albums John Dwyer has released under different names. The guy never stops. Album of the year is Pain Olympics by Crack Cloud and I'll fight anyone who disagrees!
  21. They've had quite the meteoric rise. From playing as the 3rd band on a bill in Pompey in November 2018 to Grammy nominated in 2 years.
  22. Have you seen them live? She's proper nuts on stage. Makes for a great show.
  23. I'm partial to playing Xbox from time to time. Never played online with a headset though, only single player storylines. Games like Red Dead and GTA are works of genius.
  24. How many corporate season tickets did we sell? Must be a tiny amount. I can see that being true though.
  25. Years ago a lot of people joined the Police for the pension. You could retire at 50 on a final salary pension with a decent lump sum payment and then walk back into a staff job. Now that's all gone, and unless you're pretty high up the ranks the pay isn't amazing. In fact a lot of people stop at Sgt now because with overtime they can earn more than their bosses who can't claim it for pay. The starting wage for a copper is so low now it's less then a PCSO earns. A lot of people take pay cuts because they are so desperate to join up. When I worked in the private sector the bonuses and pay rises were quite random. Some big, some non-existant. But one thing they all had over public sector was perks. Free stuff, jollies out, down the pub at lunchtime. Stick it on expenses? No problem. Half a day off to play golf? That's networking, off you go, have fun. People get overexcited in the Police if we get given a fucking pen that isn't one of the shit ones finance order us. Last year they gave everyone a water bottle and people were going nuts for them. It was like the crowd at St Mary's when they do that free pizza offer.
