Cheers.

What was his tweet?

Simon Peach says a lot of stuff.

I saw him score a decent goal for the U21's. He looked alright in that game to be fair. Maybe he hated living in England? Personal issues? As fans we have no way of knowing.
-
I saw Shaw a few times for the U18's and it was only the last time (the FA Cup defeat to Forest) when he really stood out above the rest by making a huge number of forward runs and taking control of the game. At that age I tend to look for technical elements. Control, technique, awareness, distribution, runs off the ball, concentration. If players have those assets firmly in place at a young age then there's a good chance they'll turn out to be a decent pro.

From what I've heard the 73 year old man arrested a while back is a DJ. If true it will be huge news.

this one's decent http://www.hqsportz.com/index.html

Didn't have a lot to do defensively. Comfortable on the ball, rarely wasted possession, picked out some decent passes and got forward a few times. Plays uncannily like Luke Shaw did in the U18's.
-
He may as well have stayed at Sky for all the help he's been getting.

We could have had 6 in the first half. Plenty of easy chances going begging. Thought Isgrove was the pick. Made some lovely mazy runs cutting in from the wing and ghosting past players like they weren't there. Made lots of subs second half. Players that had gone off even came back on again. I didn't see Cortese or Pochettino but heard the Wanyama stuff from a bloke in the crowd.

I'll be there. I never pay to see first team friendlies but do for the nippers. Not sure that makes any sense but that's how I roll.

Sue Lopez was a coach when I did Level 1 & 2 FA Badges. She was excellent and made us all look terrible during brief kick arounds and training drills. She also hated Rupert Lowe for disbanding Saints Women's team (I believe she was manager at the time?) and wouldn't even allow his name to be mentioned. She'd only refer to him as "that evil man".

Targett has looked excellent the few times I've seen him. Some players just look a cut above at youth level and he's one. Confident on the ball and very sound defensively. Always seemed to be in control of what he was doing both on and off the ball. I'm sure there are people on here who have seen him a lot more than me and can comment further.

It's a £30 million warchest. It was in the paper and for some reason a few people are taking it as gospel. No one except a few people in the club know how much we have to spend.
-
We'd have lots of competition in the squad. If they were all young and hungry there would be huge room for improvement and in a few years we'd no doubt be in Europe.
-
Depends who we sign. If we go out and spend £40 million then I'd expect us to finish around 8th. If we buy no more players then about the same position again but without the threat of relegation. Asked my 7yo what he expects, and he just said "some goals".

Yeah, it's so dull seeing a Brit winning stages after years and years of watching cycling with hardly a sniff of a home rider winning! Pity Cavendish crashed today, getting back in the peloton probably cost him vital energy for the sprint. Have to say his team didn't do a lot to help him. Neat bunny hop over the roundabout too.
-
He nailed it. Boassen Hagen outsprinting Greipel and Sagan for second was a bit surprising. Tomorrow is even flatter, Cav should do it again.
-
Looks like a sprint today. Let's hope Cavendish has fully recovered from his illness to take it.

I didn't say their choices were bad? And anyway I was only referring to a couple of them. To be fair there's a lot of good stuff on this thread. Predictable doesn't have to mean it's bad. It's predictable that Lambert will score a penalty when he steps up to take one.
-
Nope. She's the greatest living female singer songwriter. Some people's choices above are so achingly predictable for a football forum.

Madness. Millar sneaked in 4th in the sprint. Possible yellow tomorrow if he gets in the break, it's the sort of stage he could do well on.
