  2. As for our transfer policy this summer it's been almost perfect in my opinion. 2 very good additions who made it onto the pre season tour and have had plenty of time to integrate into the squad. If we add a decent striker and/or attacking midfielder I'll be more than happy.
  3. “Being a local lad it’s great to see him giving back to the community and supporting our children with a shortened life expectancy. He’s visited us now on more than one occasion and met some of our children and their families who are all so excited that he is championing our cause. Louise was shocked when he learnt that we only receive a tiny amount of statutory funding and have to raise over £3million ourselves, but it means so much to us and our children and families that he’s giving his time to help us raise money and awareness.” Hahahaha.
  4. I really enjoy seeing ignorant, lazy idiots getting parking tickets for parking on double yellows so I wholeheartedly welcome any confusion this plan causes.
  5. Not anymore, it's been closed down. Not just cheaper parking that would help high streets, cheaper public transport would too. I normally cycle to town from Hamble but as it was raining this morning I drove to Woolston and parked there. Thought I'd get the bus over the Itchen Bridge, it won't be much. I was wrong. £2.90 return for less than 10 minutes each way on the bus.

    Matt targett

Yes. First time I'd seem him. Played well considering he had De Ridder in front of him for quite a while.
  7. We really do have some excellent young players at the club. Our academy is a wondrous thing that should be cherished. If people do have time over the coming season then it's well worth taking in some of their games.
  8. Half of that value is Luke Shaw.
  9. He's got his own pie recipe on the internet. it's no surprise.
  10. Pretty bad. They were predictable, lacked movement and did little to suggest they are better than the youngsters we have. Sharp was easily the best of the 'old guard'.
  11. If anyone thinks we shoud keep some of the unwanted players as cover they should be watching this.
  12. Lee scores, some gimps celebrate on the pitch
  13. penalty. Reed brought down when racing through.
  14. "Jake Sinclair, he's better than Scott" Someone do a facepalm for me, don't know how to do it on my phone.
  15. 0-0. We've been better since the younger players came on. Sinclair, Rowe, Reed, Moore and Targett who is playing CB.
  16. I've had better evenings.
  17. Tadanari Lee is on which is giving the scummers on tour boyz the opportunity to roll out the sushi chant again. Now they are doing "there were 10 Pompey sailors on a boat". Tiresome. Harrison Reed is on in midfield. good, tidy player. Jonno Quick isn't actually Jonno quick anymore. Can't even burst past non league players.
  18. de rudderless more like.
  19. we aren't very good. Forte and De Rudder useless. Barnard ineffectual. Aaron Martin just gone off injured. there's about 10 saints fans singing at one end infront of a "Scummers on tour" flag. A few of them even have the new kit. Eastleigh should have had a penalty, and Colmer cleared one off the line. Sharp had goal disallowed for offsideabd just missed from a cross but that's about it. There is an ice cream van though.
  20. I'd rather pay £8 to see the youth than some of that lot.
  21. They have to base it on last year. It would be chaos for the Ticket Office if there were no phased sales. No one needs to worry though, if we do get 3k anyone who really wants one will get one.
  22. Anyone going? I'm heading up, hopefully a better performance than last year when Forecast flapped around unconvincingly and let in 3 in the first 20 minutes. It will be a much sterner test for the nippers than the Sholing game as Eastleigh are a lot more experienced and physical, plus we are without Chambers and Isgrove. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/u21s-at-eastleigh-preview-945307.aspx
  23. Haha. Motability Princess would be a great addition to the cast. She'd still be less scary than the brazen, over-confident LSP. That's Lavishly Spending Pompey for the uninitiated.
  24. They've got regular fund raising nights at the Wedgewood Rooms. http://www.wedgewood-rooms.co.uk/WhatsOn/LiveMusic/PLAYUPPOMPEYFEST.aspx Probably suits both parties as the Wedgewood Rooms 'what's on' listings seem quite bare these days.
  25. I was somehow unaware a game of that magnitude was taking place, but stumbled across the webchat like a Pompey lass wearing broken stilettos on the way home from a Tuesday afternoon session in the pub while waiting for my son to finish watching Adventure Time. Despite Jake the Dog fast becoming one of my all time favourite cartoon characters my eyes were enticed towards the chance of seeing Factless brutally massage the truth in a way even Avram Grant would have found distasteful. Sadly Factless wasn't in the hot seat and cascaded the thankless task down to a chap called Jordan. I read a few frankly reasonable posts, picked out a couple of duffers and celebrated Bournemouth's opener with a chuckle that my son presumed was aimed at Ice King in Adventure Time singing the theme to Cheers. The show finished. Finn and Jake had saved the Land of Ooo so I took my son to bed. I did consider allowing him to stay up and watch the webchat with me, but thought such horrors should not be allowed to scar the innocent mind of a 7 year old.
