We can't discuss signing any forward players because it might mean Lambert doesn't start every game. Or something like that.
-
Everyone agrees on the defensive line up which is a luxury we haven't had for years. I'd stick with the same team we had against West Ham.
-
I'd rather a supporter in the ground regularly buying food than one not in the ground at all. They are at least winning in one respect.

I like what I've seen of him. Have heard from someone that knows a coach at Saints that he has a brilliant football brain but sometimes struggles to put in to practice exactly what he wants to do with the ball. Similar to what anyone watching me play 5 a side last night would have said. Good luck to him.

I'm far from convinced about Cropper either. How do the laws stand on emergency loans if Boruc gets injured? Are they still a thing?
-
Is this on BT Sport? They've been showing the Access All Areas stuff so I'm presuming it is. Hope so as I'll be able to tape it and watch 'as live' the next morning.

I find a lot of people who profess to like football to be quite clueless about the game. This view is backed up by the sort of goons that ring up 5Live and Talksport after games (and by some of the posts on football forums) A lot of people will be of the default position that because Lambert is tall and lacks pace that he's only good in the air. Unless they are watching a lot of live games people will base their views on MOTD highlights and media reports. I heard a bloke on 5Live on the way back from Wembley on Friday saying it was ridiculous that England weren't getting any crosses into the box because Lambert is only any good with his head. He clearly missed all his good hold up play, clever lay offs, reverse passes and 2 assists. Basically just ignore the uneducated. They generally don't have a clue.

Lambert didn't even get involved when we won free kicks on Friday, just trotted off into the box to wait for Lampard to mess it up.

Can we accommodate SRL & Osvaldo in the same team?

At least his reinvention has stopped all that annoying .... at the end of every sentence .... Used to really bug me for some reason ..... -
I was always happy with Durkin. I'm probably massively wrong, but it seemed that he always gave us decisions and we'd often win when he was ref.

This forearm smash from a game in Australia is pretty nasty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfdTUQICTs4

Had a great time with my son who absolutely loved it. We were at the end Lambert scored at which was great and awesome (he told me to type that) Lambert was fantastic. My son had a Saints shirt on and the all the people we spoke to on the train agreed. To be honest I've been fairly apathetic towards England games in the past decade or so but Lambert's presence has changed that completely. Having not been to an England game for so long I have to say the atmosphere in the ground was utterly terrible. A few half hearted songs, that fuking band, a Mexican wave after 10 minutes. The Family section seemed to mainly consist of the sort of people to whom the football seemed to be of secondary importance, it was a visit to the stadium, buying a half and half scarf or eating hilariously overpriced food that was more important. It was interesting to see loads of families from the Asian community there though, far more than you ever see at club games.

Tickets bought. First England game I've been to since this one: Hopefully Lambert will score and I'll be going just as batshlt crazy tomorrow as I did then.
-
Yeah, it's only £30 for both of us. Cheaper than a Saints game...
-
They want me to pay £2.50 for the privilege of printing out my own tickets!!!
-
Thinking of taking my son. There's tickets left. Can I just buy one at the ground tomorrow? I've tried to find the info online but failed.

I liked the bit when he pointed to the name on the back of his shirt before pulling a face because there was no name there. It made my 7 year old laugh, now we have to watch it again. -
True. At least I can tell my son they read his name out even if they didn't.
-
According to Saints Foundation I have to email Tom Coull, he's the man for that sort of stuff.
-
Cheers for the help. I'll give the Community Office a ring.
-
It's my son's birthday soon and I'd like to get his name read out over the tannoy at half time. Does anyone know who I need to contact to make this happen? I've had a look on the website but can't find the information. Presumably the contact details are in the programme but I never buy one.

Capital One Cup: Bristol City Ticket Details Announced
The Cat replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Did any of the people complaining about the price of this pay the same to see the Sociedad friendly? Personally I think it's a little overpriced (should be £15) but I will probably still go as I saved £18 not going to see a pre-season training match. -
What's reasonable? I park in the road outside my mates house near the end of Tollbar Way. 15 minute walk from there. There must be parking closer though. Somewhere off Telegraph Road? Down past Moorgreen?
-
Norwich manage to do it perfectly well. It really isn't that difficult. Rather than putting a horrible tasting pre-cooked pie into that heated thing, you put a decent, well made one in there instead.

Very funny, the bit about Fry was particularly good.
