  1. I'm a particular fan of people who rubbish the atmosphere when they don't go to games. It's like the ones who ring up phone ins to comment on games they haven't seen.

Not necessarily further forward, but at least 10 paces to the left to stop them playing a ball into space for the wide player to run on to. Standing next to Jos seemed, to me, a bit pointless and allowed them to easily switch the play into a dangerous area. Compare that to the crossfield balls we played that were mostly cut out by the full back.

Other than setting up the first goal he was largely terrible. His positioning is laughable at times. For some reason he likes to stand right next to Hooiveld rather than marking the acres of space they inevitably fed the ball into.
  4. Woeful today. When the team needed support in the second half we gave up. And the bloke a few rows behind us in block 25 needs to wind it in. Constantly shouting abuse at our players, moaning about every little mistake and generally acting like an utter cretin. When a woman started trying to tell him to zip it he was on the verge of offering her out. Then he walked past with 2 little kids aged about 4 saying "I don't give a f#ck, it's football. I'll say what I f#cking want." A great example to set his kids, and all the others around him in the family stand.
  5. Good second half. A bit more composure on a couple of occasions could have seen us nick a second but then Remy really should have scored for them. The final few minutes with the ref getting a whack and the touchline scuffle were hilarious.
  6. I'd spend a bit less time on twitter if I was you. As for insults being 'hurled' at Pochettino, I doubt he gives a toss.
  7. Didn't they have this in-no-way-at-all embarrassing, small-time Santa Saturday last year? Or maybe it just seems so them I imagined it. Anyway, it's completely sh|t. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/win-tickets-to-pompey-s-santa-saturday-1-5742537
  8. Excuse me Mr Barker, the 1950's is on the phone asking for it's hair back.
  9. According to the ever reliable internet, Wallis-Taylor plays for Lisieux in France. Sean Rudd quit playing because of injury.
  10. Anyone know when the draw for the next round is, or if it's already been done?
  11. An easy a win as you'll see. Thought Gallagher was excellent, Niall Mason too. The keeper was their best player and he's a Saints fan. My 8yo was getting right into shouting at Pompey. "You suck, you might as well go home" and "you can't even pass" were trotted out quite frequently. He asked if he could swear at them before saying they were "b1tch".
  12. Asked at the ticket office earlier, they said it's pay on the gate too (although I don't know whether you'll have to buy a ticket at the office window first or not)
  13. Massively chuffed with that. After going behind early on I was sure my raft of bets on us to get stuffed would pay out, but man I'm happy they didn't. That was an outstanding team performance, we didn't give them any time to get control of the game and with better finishing would have nicked the win. Osvaldo's goal was just utter class. Chambers was excellent and Lovren organised the defence superbly. Fair play to Cork, Davis and Ward-Prowse for getting through an incredible amount of work. Decent atmosphere too. Very happy tonight.
  14. I've just put a few bets on Man City to win to soften the blow of our inevitable humping.
  15. I'm pretty sure we were the lowest spenders last time. One of my favourite things about Cortese is his refusal to cave in to agents demands. Some of the figures in that table are obscene.
  16. Fixed for ya.
  17. Can't have it too late, the team need to be tucked up in bed with a warm glass of milk by 2130.
  18. Hilarious. All the teams below them picked up points tonight.
  19. Their player was sent off for fighting. Hopefully it was with the fans.
  20. The person I feel sorry for in all this is David Connolly. From helping fire Saints to the Premier League to being put in joint charge of a basket case club.
  21. This is what it's like to be Pompey This is what it's like to be small You have no manager And we've got Pochettino
  22. A few people were cheering near me when he came on. Last season he gave us a clap after the game. It ends there. To carry it on now is plain ridiculous.
  23. I thought we might have got that out the way last season, but no. Their fans were hilariously poor, only really heard them when the ball went near Boruc.
  24. I can't see that Cortese would let him go. And where does Sports Direct News come from? Shop floor gossip?
