  1. What we need is some fans down at the ground larking around in the background behind that poor reporter. There's no chance of convincing anyone to take over the club unless they can see what huge, passionate support we have.
  2. He's a complete gimp.
  3. The normal Thursday press conference will be well attended tomorrow.
  4. She's probably just fed up at having to deal with Cortese throwing his toys out of the pram every time he doesn't get his own way. That and some financial decisions she's not comfortable with. Can't say I blame her, especially as she has no interest in football.
  5. Steve Grant. All those £5's he's saved up from here should see us competing with Europe's elite.
  6. I'll probably just try closing my eyes and hoping for the best.
  7. A cup game is a good introduction to it for them. First took my 8yo to the Blackpool cup game when Guly scored from outside the box, hence my son saying he was our best player for the next 18 months. He now has a ST with me in the family stand and loves it. Yet to take my 4yo, may do for the Yeovil game but there really is no way he'll sit still for 90 minutes. All kids are different in how they react - I've seen 4yo's cry when we have scored because of the noise, but there's also plenty of even smaller kids who have season tickets and manage to cope just fine.
  8. No, they're still going on. Part of the reason the traffic in town seemingly grinds to a halt about once every 10 days.
  9. This is what annoys me about the toll. Because of the stupid boundaries those of us living east of Weston are part of Eastleigh Borough so can't get a Card. I never go to Eastleigh but am in Southampton 4 or 5 times a week. To be fair I quite like wandering over the bridge so usually park in Garton Road and walk over.
  10. Good news, thanks for that.
  11. Heard Solksjaer interviewed on 5live on the way home. He said there's 2 leagues - 9th up and everyone else which means we're bottom of our league.
  12. Debayo? He was the one we signed from Chelsea and was introduced on the pitch at half time of the Hull game. Looked decent in that game albeit against woeful opponents.
  13. They were wasting time from the start which is pretty pathetic against a mid table team they should be thinking they can beat.
  14. Decent save from an average shot at the end, caught a couple of crosses under pressure but in truth he had little to do. We are just so much more confident in defence when he plays, glad he's back.
  15. Just seen the other thread about the bloke in the Chapel.
  16. Solid if unspectacular win. Bringing Ramirez on changed the game, his use of the ball and movement opened up space for others and his pass for the goal was sublime (it happened in front of us and I thought he meant it) It was great having our first choice back 5 playing together for the first time in a while. Anyone know what happened to the person in the Chapel? Saw the Ambulance when we walked past after and judging by the work the medics were doing in the back it looked quite serious. Oh, and a big facepalm to the bloke who got caught drinking a bottle of Magners in the family stand at half time.
  17. Gary Monk was 17 when he joined us from Torquay. We converted Harlee Dean from a non league midfielder into a decent centre back.
  18. Bricklayers Arms the other side of the river is good. There's a couple of pubs near Putney Bridge station but none right by the ground.
  19. Enjoyed that. We were very comfortable at 2-0. 2 cracking goals, but then horrible defending let them back in the game and made for an exctit ng2nd half. Lallana was a class above when he came on.
  20. I wonder what % of his wages Co-op are paying us. Good move for them to get him on loan, especially at this crucial stage of the season when all the high up decorations in the shop need sorting.
  21. We'll definitely need a pitch invasion if we beat Man Utd and finish 8th.
  22. The Cat

    Captaincy

He was so overwhelmed at meeting that Pompey player a few weeks ago that he's decided he wants to play for them. Told my mate something about it being his spiritual home.
  23. Glad I wasn't there yesterday or that Davis chant would have made me vomit all over the back of some bloke's Superdry jacket his Nan got him for Xmas from the new store in West Quay.
  24. Might take my son in there for his first away game. He doesn't have any aways on his ST so may not get one in our end.
  25. I'd hazard a guess he was referring Hesketh and anyone who can play left back.
