  1. I'm going too. Should be a great evening. I hope everyone bows down to him when he walks on stage.
  2. Completely agree. I had a bit of a rant about that in the family stand today and got a few sheepish looks from some other fans. It's the same with Guly last season, one misplaced pass from him and people start going nuts. It's all pretty pathetic if you ask me.
  3. Lovren and Fonte were also in deep discussion on the pitch after the final whistle. I think they had more organising than usual to do today.
  4. Just when I was telling my son that our fans were too quiet and the team needed their support the Northam stepped up to to the plate and rammed the words back down my throat. People were even singing in the family stand. More of the same every game from now on please because it does make a difference. As for the game, well were clinging on to the one goal lead by Boruc's fingertips for what seemed an eternity. I was convinced Swansea were going to score and to be fair their play definitely merited a goal but then one bad defensive error from them and the 3 points were ours. I thought Lallana was superb today, as were Boruc with some quality stops and Wanyama with some rock solid tackling. I also loved the way we took off our star signing and replaced hm with an 18 year old academy graduate to help close out the game. In fact all our substitutions were spot on. That was a tough, hard fought win against an excellent team.
  5. As long as they aren't busting pre-match bongs and I don't care.
  6. I like it slow for a while. Then hard and fast.
  7. Terrible. Pity we aren't playing them soon.
  8. Rather than kiosks the bookies should provide/sponsor wi-fi in the stadium so people can bet in game on their phones, advertising the odds on the pitchside LED boards.
  9. A mate opened an online account and put his free £30 bet on Osvaldo 2-0. He's £780 richer.
  10. Same at Torquay in the cup. Not a bad player at all.
  11. I went in the Northam for the first time in years. Yes it's always quite crap at these sort of games but it was achingly dire. The Bristol City fans were just as painfully unoriginal but showed a moment of class by calling us "hashtag wankers"
  12. I wish he'd put more effort into tackling. He seems to lose every 50/50 and often just makes a token gesture.
  13. Great goal and some beautiful touches mixed in with some frustrating moments. He provided the 3 best moments of the match. The goal, a gorgeous chipped pass over the top of their defence and thumping shot which went just wide in the first half. Second half he was coasting, then wandered off the pitch injured when they announced the added time.

  15. But he had no hesitation in bigging up and praising the "small, small minority" for their amazing support when a few of them inexplicably stayed behind a couple of times last season to sing and chant pointlessly in the stands after the game had finished. It's one rule for one small minority, and another for another small minority.
  16. I went down this morning and bloke said there were only a few seats left in the Itchen but loads in the Northam. I asked for a ticket there and he asked where I wanted to sit. I said "I don't mind, I'll sit where I want when I get in" and he said "true. Do you want an aisle seat?" Had to pay £20 too, even though it still said £18 on the ticket. I won't buy a beer at half time now.
  17. Oh my God. Phwooarrr. If only Ward-Prowse wasn't in the way of picture 9.
  18. Good to hear. I'm just nipping over to the OS gallery to see him with his top off. If Morgan did it too I'll be sore for a week.
  19. Did Osvaldo leg it straight off down the tunnel again or join the other players by the away fans?

    The Boruc Save

Great link, had to turn the sound down though. Urgh, that music! That game at Villa is by streets the best goalkeeping performance I've ever seen live. He pulled out save after ridiculous save in that match. In my eyes Boruc still has some way to go to be seen as Niemi's equal for Saints although there's no denying he has pulled off some cracking saves so far.
  21. Matt, I sent you a PM last night. You can use mine.
  22. Redknapp. Sunderland is his spiritual home.
  23. He can't have been that bad, he got them a draw at Southampton who are chasing a Champions League spot.
  24. He's so good our fans might even get around to making up a song for him.
  25. Anyone who thinks Osvaldo is a waste of money needs to seriously consider why they bother watching football.
