Fairly similar to the Guardian article last weekend. Again Ramirez gets the credit for setting up Morgan at Wigan despite not being on the pitch at the time.
-
I'm not sure we'll ever get a decent song started for him. Hs name has far too many syllables for most of our fans.
-
Are they still doing this? Got to admire their persistence.

It's all relative of course but we were spectacularly good the day we thumped Huddersfield 5-0 in our first season in league 1.

Successful Tackles per Game, We top the League
The Cat replied to Saint Without a Halo's topic in The Saints
Interesting stats on that site. We are also top of the league in through balls per game, averaging 7. Arsenal have 6 and Man City 4. The rest are a long way back. -
He did well yesterday. He seems more comfortable against teams who don't play traditional wingers as he struggles against players running directly at him and blocking crosses (although he even did this once yesterday!)
-
Last night in Nando's. Luke Shaw tweeted that he was in there whch must mean he's not playing either.

They know how far every player runs during a game, so I presume the stats would be the same as when Adkins was in charge. Part of it will be the intelligence of runs, making sure we communicate well and pressing as a team rather than 1 or 2 players wasting energy without support. Positioning is also important. If you are required to close a player down then why run 25 yards to do it when you can run less than 10. I'd like to see Jonathan Wilson write an article on MP's tactics.
-
Not sure why he thought Ramirez set up Morgan's goal at Wigan though.
-
Enjoyed that. Loved this quote: "It may seem like we are running more," he says. "But really we are just running in a more organised way."

Adkins was in my dream last night. He was wandering around a wooded bit of the Common looking sad and lost wearing a Saints' jacket. I went and gave him a hug. That must mean he's going to Forest because he was in the trees in my dream.
-
Quality today. Has good touch, now adding strength to his runs. The one to set up our second was superb.

There was some naughties at the bottom of the bridge after the match. Missed the start of it but saw a few handbags. Surprised no one ended up in the canal which would have been amusing. The Saints fans wandered off down the canal while some Wigan scrotes stood on the other side giving it large and throwing stones.

2 of her cousins live in Butlocks Heath. They are both really fit too.

I was at that game. The block I was in was full of Scousers and Mancs arguing with each other and mugging off the players on each others teams. The Scousers still celebrated when Beckham scored though. He carried the team that day like Matty did here for 4 seasons.

If anyone is going up and back on Saturday and has a space in their car from Southampton area then I could do with a lift. Will pay towards petrol and I don't smell.
-
Need to do it in the day ideally. Cheers for the offer though.
-
Got my ticket yesterday. Anyone got space in a car to give me a lift from Southampton area? I'll pay petrol money and promise not to be too annoying.
-
Excellent. That means our fans can sing "and we've still got Lallana on the bench" when we're 3-0 up.

I had them for a while, was great for a couple ofyears but then I got bored with the cleaning and expense. All came to a tragic end when I dropped a big saucepan out of the cupboard above them which bounced off the worksurface and smashed the tank. Fish and water all over the floor.

Me and a friend started making a programme about Benali for that. It never got finished due to us being lazy but we got to interview Franny a few times, had full access to St Mary's to interview Matty (imagine that happening now!) and spent time filming at Staplewood. One of our trips to Staplewood coincided with an exciting transfer or something happening when Strachan was manager. There were scores of journalists hanging around the gates and in the car park, none of whom were granted access to the players or management except us, 2 ramshackle, scruffy oiks who were greeted at the gates and happily walked through with our equipment to the disgust of the rest of the media.

I was half tempted to go in the away end tonight, but there's no way I'm paying the same amount to get into Fratton as Wigan are charging us on Saturday for a Premier League game.
-
2 boys, one is 7, the other was 4 on Saturday. It's all good fun apart from the times when 1) they are really annoying and 2) I have to miss away games because of them.

Sean Stroud. Pretty sure I played cricket with your dad once. He was so hammered from the night before he had to stop on route to the match and have a dump behind a bush.
-
Wouldn't have thought so. He's no youngster and only really scored goals ths season. Also League 2 isn't a 'very low level'. Bit harsh.
