Rare slip up from you here MLG, however not 'every fan' has the internet. If it was up to me I'd at least send postal reminders to the senior citizen season ticket holders as they are the most likely group of fans to not use the internet.

This Tsonga vs Federer match is making the best women's game look like a Sunday afternoon knockabout at the Sports Centre.

It shouldn't be termed 'winnings' when 'prize money' is a whole lot more appropriate. Also I'd say winning ATP Masters events is more the equivalent of Premier League than some cacky friendly cup, whereas the Grand Slams are a step above like the Champions League, World Cup or European Championships.

Not in the slightest! In fact it's one of those fights that has split opinions of everyone. There's just some many plausible outcomes. I so want Haye to win but am more than prepared for the possibility that he'll be laying splattered all over the canvas by the halfway point. Haye could crumple under Wlad's first attack. But then the same could happen in reverse. Or it could be one of those contests where nothing much happens. Personally I hope Haye makes Wlad look bad by slipping his jab and fighting on the back foot before knocking him out when Wlad gets frustrated and leaves himself open when resorting to wild attacks.

My other half teaches reception at Sholing Infants. She has had children starting at the school still wearing nappies, who can't count at all and struggle to form sentences. This is not down to any special needs, more that their parents just don't give a crap about interacting with their children in any way apart from turning on the tv for them. As for striking, well I support them. Teachers are underpaid and overworked in this country and not valued highly enough by society in general. My other half spends pretty much every evening working once the kids are in bed and frequently goes into school during the holidays.

Anyone on here looking forward to (or going to) the TDF?

Brilliant interview with David Millar in the Guardian today. His autobiography sounds like it should be very interesting. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2011/jun/28/david-millar-bradley-wiggins-tour-de-france?INTCMP=SRCH -
I think it's 10pm. Normally is in Germany. PPV starts at 8pm but the undercard isn't all that interesting.

At heavyweight yes, but remember Haye has already cleaned up the cruiserweight division which is his natural fighting weight. Also Wlad's opponents have mainly been terrible. Maybe not his fault and due to the heavyweight division being in dire times, but I look at the names on his record and think Haye would have beaten all of them too.

I've been and there's no way I'd take my kids. The extra effort of taking them there compared to Camp Bestival, End of the Road, Green Man, Playground, Blissfields etc etc would not result in them having that much extra fun. Plus it's not in the school holidays which means unless you want to take your kids out of school you couldn't get there until friday night and would have to leave on Sunday afternoon.

They may have played their songs well, but when they are insipid, soulless and monotonous to begin with it doesn't matter what they do - it would still be beige. To my ears most of the main stages are filled similar kinds of indie-twaddle or dull radio 2 style pop. I've just looked through the full line up and the only acts I'd like to have seen on the Pyramid or Other stage are TV on the Radio, Wu Tang Clan, Laura Marling and maybe Fleet Foxes. And who is curating the John Peel Stage?? He wouldn't have listened to half the guff scheduled on there over the weekend.

Go to Camp Bestival at Lulworth. We've been twice and are again in a few weeks. I don't think kids could have more fun anywhere else.

Can't wait for this. One of those fights in which anything could happen. Haye will have to be careful if he's planning to box in a similar way to the Valuev fight because he could easily get shafted by the judges like Macklin was against Felix Sturm last night. I'd ****ing love to see Haye ko Wlad.

The best thing about Glastonbury this year is Beyonce's legs.

Best & Worst pubs of 10/11 season?

Does the barge at Peterborough count? I liked that. -
We take our kids to festivals. I've been going to a few a summer for almost 20 years so have been to enough by myself and had no qualms about taking them. My 5 year old will be going to his 9th and 10th this summer. Not sure I'd take them to Glastonbury though, it just seems so much effort. Went in 1997 and didn't really enjoy it. It was hideously muddy and seemed more like a refugee camp than a festival. Mind you, I jumped the fence and did the whole thing on £20 without a sleeping bag so it wasn't all bad.

If you don't like people discussing real ale then maybe you shouldn't be living here.
-
I'll go. Reckon I'll take my nipper to his first evening game. And £14 isn't that bad. It costs £12 to get into Eastleigh!!

I think the key word in the article is "could". Another stunning piece of journalism from the Mail. Lots of things could happen. My son could become an Olympic Gold medallist when he's older. Saints could become the best football team in the world. Dune could start reading a newspaper.

I'm kind of watching it, although for you to state that you can't have seen much tennis lately as it's riddled with errors! Djokovic vs Murray in the semis of the Rome Masters last month would live up to your statement. That was a sickeningly high standard of tennis.
-
I have tickets to the tennis on Number 1 court. Not bad, as I've never been to Wimbledon and should see at least one top player that day. Or none if it rains.
-
They should get a local brewery to produce a new ale called "Saints" or something and sell that in the ground. Nice little marketing tie-up, easy to promote and it would be fantastic to have a beer named after the club.
-
It was Carling at the Ex-Saints game. Congratulations to the club for managing to find one of the only beers worse than Carlsberg.

We'll see lots of players linked with us over the summer, mainly due to our perceived financial position and the need to sign a few quality players. When talking to the media it's easy for agents to include our name in a list of 3 or 4 clubs chasing a player to bump his price up or gain him a better contract as his current employers.

When we're winning countless Premiership titles and routinely hammering Barcelona in Champions League finals every year we'll need a stadium so big that it will be impossible to build one large enough to host all our fans. Therefore I suggest we build two expandable 100,000 state of the art seater stadiums on the same site and play half in one before a quick nip across the car park to play the second half in the other. While the alternate halves are being played the supporters in the stadiums without 'live' football can watch the match on individual tv monitors that flip out from the back of the seat in front. Season tickets would be hard to price, however I suggest the fans in the second half stadium would have to pay more because they get to see the end of the game and join in the celebrations as we march to another easy 3 points. The first-half stadium could be allocated to the people that bugger off on 80 minutes to beat the traffic because they clearly aren't bothered about seeing what happens at the end of the match as it is. This two stadium idea would also solve the problem of people compaining about others going down early/coming back up late from half time food and drink. The away fans could be transported from one stadium to the other by underground tunnel, although I doubt we'd see many of them as over the years they would have all got fed up with routinely seeing their teams get spanked 15-0 by us.
