They have laptops and wi-fi in hell? That's great news.

Always worth reading the end of Mail articles because they normally bury the important quotes there due to the fact they know most of their readers are blinkered simpletons who can't manage more than 3 paragraphs before getting outraged at whatever the Mail want them to be outraged about. Lo and behold the last 2 paragraphs of that first link are: However, Joanna Haigh, professor of atmospheric physics at Imperial College London, said: ‘In a future grand minimum, the sun might again cool the planet by up to one degree. Greenhouse gases, on the other hand, are expected to raise global temperatures by between 1.5C and 4.5C by 2100. ‘So even if the predictions are correct, global warming will outstrip the sun’s ability to cool.’

Half term you say? Bonus, I'll defiitely be there then. Don't celebrate Valentine's Day anyway. It's a crock of turd developed by card companies to make extra revenue. I suggest you stop being such a pansy, explain this to your other half and get yourself a ticket to the football. Any woman in this day and age who expects to be taken out, or do something special on that day every year just because the majority of couples do it is clearly mental. If she's that desperate for you to prove your love to her then make a fuss of her the next day instead, or go down on her for an extra 5 minutes before you leave for work that morning.

Anyone on here looking forward to (or going to) the TDF?
The Cat replied to sandwichsaint's topic in General Sports
It's something I'd love to do when the kids are a bit older. Definitely looking forward to it, outside of Saints games and Ashes tests it's pretty much my favourite sporting event. Not sure I'd be able to cycle even the flatest of stages so fair play to you for attempting that! Wiggins definitely seems to be in better shape this year. Seemed like he overtrained last time round and couldn't hold on to the pace in the mountains. Sky are also stronger so he should have better support around him too. Top 10 would be a fantastic achievement for him. If Cav gets round again he should win the green jersey this year as the reduction in intermediate sprints definitely works in his favour. Should be a strong showing from the Brits. Thomas has a good chance to get in some breakaways and I hope Ben Swift gets a ride as he looks really promising. As for seeing Cancellara in full flow, that must have been awesome. I'm still excited at the fact I saw Cav win a sprint by Hoglands Park in the Tour of Britain a few years ago! -
Another in the line of terrible beers sponsoring football. Carling, Carlsberg, Worthingtons. Who next? Skol? The Tesco Value Lager FA Cup?

Louise Bagshawe. Currently only number 26 on the sexymp website, but then maybe that's because she's quite annoying! http://www.sexymp.co.uk/index.php?gender=F

Cushioned backboards to stop the mongs bashing them out of time with the songs.

I don't quite understand the moaning about teams changing their kits too often. No one HAS to buy every new shirt a team releases. The away kit I bought this season (in the sale I might add) is the first one I've owned since 2002.

Brit Milf It? I might pop along. Personally I like to spend my time finding and downloading new music, going to the gym (although this is a relatively new phenomenon for me), playing 5 a side, playing Xbox and reading. I'm quite partial to the odd bit of necrophillia too.

Last Game Of The Season (Walsall) Signed Matchball
The Cat replied to MINIBARCELONASAINT's topic in Buy / Sell
Where did you say that? I don't have an ebay account and can't be bothered to register to tell him, so maybe you could do it for me. Still sucks though. -
Surely it would have been quicker to look on there than log in here and type out that message? Also can you change the date on your location to 2011-2012. Thanks!

Last Game Of The Season (Walsall) Signed Matchball
The Cat replied to MINIBARCELONASAINT's topic in Buy / Sell
So you've acquired a ball for free that was bought by Markus' money and signed by players who were bought by his money which has inflated it's value. And now you "aim to donate" 10% of the final price to the Flag? Wow, how generous. Give all the money to the flag and you'd get huge respect. Anything else is a farce. -
Balls to that, just give Martinez the England job. Redknapp wouldn't be able to cope without being able to sign players. Fair play to him for staying, I like him and was glad Wigan stayed up for that reason only.

Just noticed this thread. While not all of Deppo's posts were funny, he's one of the only people on here who can make me regularly laugh out loud. If people get upset by jokes amongst otherwise "serious" threads then maybe they need to either lighten up or put him on ignore. I find it hard to believe that grown men could be so petty as to report him to the mods for anything he did on here. It would be good if the site owners could listen to their customers and let him back on considering most people seem to be of the opinion that this is all a bit ridiculous.

Spoke to one of the few earlier this evening. He was very excited about their new owners and told me that it was no problem that they only had 8 squad members because "these new blokes have loads of money and will buy us some good players." I tried to explain to him that this wasn't the case but he couldn't have taken any less notice of what I was saying if he stuck his fingers in his ears and went "lalalalalala, I can't hear you." He then started going on about the 4-1 cup game at which point I gave up trying to have a conversation with him and walked off. Mind you The News seem to think the Norris transfer is a "done deal" and that Brian Howard has "issued a come-and-get-me plea" to the club. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/cotterill_gets_set_for_owner_talks_1_2755507 So maybe soon they'll only be 1 player away from fielding a full 11. Hmm.

They were here in Hamble for about 6 weeks until they got turfed out a few days ago, camped in a field on Hamble Lane just before the College as you come into the village. They tried to stop Police gaining access to their site by parking an old battered caravan across the entrance. Initially they piled into the Health Centre during the middle of the day. blocking the entrance for a couple of hours until the Police came and moved them on. A few days after they arrived some bloke knocked on the door and predictably offered to tarmac my driveway. They also tried to break into the pharmacy at Blackthorn Health Centre, stole loads from the co op by aerostructures and broke into a few houses and sheds around the top part of the village too.

Depends what you want to see! Sex Museum, just don't go in the back room unless you like to see people inserting their genetalia into cows. If you are going to smoke then avoid the chains like Bulldog and head to the smaller coffee shops like Global Chillage. Keep your eyes out for cyclists when crossing the road, especially if you've smoked too much. They come from all angles, I almost got flattened a few times. Banana Bar is popular, but can be very busy and expensive. Van Gogh museusm is very good although I guess that's obvious.

Didn't have one, but the pasties looked nice. Handmade in cornwall apparently.

So much in decline here in the Eastleigh borough that they won EVERY seat in the recent local elections.

Just had £52 taken from my credit card. Considering I applied for £1600 worth of tickets that's a pretty poor effort!

Put a query up on Saints Forever, someone gave me the name of a bloke who worked at the club and he got it done for me. All very kind considering I'd never met them. I'd like to think they club would do it if you went to Reception with a card and left it there. As you say might not be that easy now all the players are on holiday.
-
We tried that a few times, and even when it doesn't work it gives the opposition something to think about. Remember one at orient when Fonte should have scored. I like the way we sometimes overload an area in the box at corners and swing the ball in to 3 big men.

Yeah do the whole bridesmaids, ushers thing first. For some reason the groom's dad gave me a card he wanted read out even though he was at the wedding so I did that and then also read a couple from people who couldn't be there before doing my speech. It was bizarrely quite good and went down well even though I was convinced it would be terrible. If there's any chance then try and get the speeches out the way before the meal so you're not sat there worrying about it while trying to eat. Is the bloke a Saints fan? I got the whole squad to sign a card for them which I presented during the speech, and also got the bride a Saints top with her name and the year printed on the back.
