2-0. Fusu balls up. Their player ran through and clipped it over the oncoming forecast.

Penalty to eastleigh. Racine foul. And scored. 1-0.

As suggested by the line up, blackwood is right back. Holder-spooner playing for eastleigh.

Forte up front. Fusu must be the number 8 with a naymar style haircut.

It is a bit expensive. Don't think their fans are too pleased either. I might do some updates later if I can be bothered and if anyone cares.

I found him funny, especially his Dave Benson Phillips persona.

Anyone else popping along? Apparently this is more of a Saints XI than the Totton game and some senior players will be in the squad.

Don't tell the landlord of the village pub you've been drinking in for 3 years that it's your 18th birthday.

Yep. I wonder if at the time he was aware of the long term consequences his invention would have on the earths eco system.

Yep, both of them are excellent. Another good book is Futebul by Alex Bellos which is the history of Brazillian football and features a lovely chapter about our own Charles Miller. If you like cycling, or even if you don't as it's a brilliant book, I can highly recommend David Millar's autobiography which I'm currently halfway through and is absolutely superb.

This happened the other day during a youth tournament in Belo Horizonte between Vasco and Sport. Skip to about 38 seconds for the action to start and then wait for Sport's keeper to appear. OUCH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUzrXlHdLr4&

If it's private land I think they have 6 weeks to get off once served legal papers by the courts. Well that's what I was told when they were here in Hamble anyway.

Alan Partridge's Abba medley - The only time anyone needs to hear the awfulness that is Abba

Sadly I had this thing in my head telling me to work "Ridder" into a song that featured the word "river". So when I miserably failed with Tree By The River by Iron & Wine I sunk to unfathomable depths and came up with this to the tune of the Boney M work of genius, Rivers Of Babylon: De Ridder's a Saints player We are his fans And when he scores We will stand up and sing

Agree with Madness and Johnny Cash (his version of Personal Jesus is also excellent) Susanna and the Magical Orchestra have done loads of amazing covers. Love Will Tear Us Apart is one: Lambchop's version of This Corrosion is pretty special: Stevie Ray Vaughan (the only person ever to have lived who should be allowed to do Hendrix covers) does a beautiful version of Little Wing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdYRzH10L2M Low's version of I Started A Joke: Always been a fan of Anthrax's reworking of Bring The Noise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBA-xi8WuCU Wilco doing California Stars:

The George Michael cover of True Faith by New Order that came out for Comic Relief was horrific

I think that was Power In The Park which ran on the Common for a few years until the year there was loads of fights. Having what I believe to be a modicum of music taste I never went but reckon it was probably earlier than the dates you mention so could easily be barking up the wrong tree. As for Radio 1 Roadshows I went to one around 1990 in Maidstone. Gary Davies was hosting and Seal mimed his way through a couple of songs. I remember Davies trying to make out to the listeners that there was a huge crowd at the event when there just wasn't. Even those that had turned up seemed thoroughly bored. I stayed for half an hour or so before disappearing into the park to drink cheap cider and tried to cop off with a girl who wasn't having any of it.

Sounds like a cracking trip, hope to do something similar when the kids are older. As for the tour, well that was surely one of the best I can remember. Fair play to Evans for finally winning, he deserved it for the pursuit of Andy Schleck's breakaway when he rode 11km without any help to close him down. Just wow for Cavendish. David Millar said today that he is Britain's best sportsman and as far as I'm concerned there is no argument against it. When people comment on our sports stars as being bottlers or not quite good enough I will refer them to Cav. 20 wins in 4 years is just unbelievable and quite un-British!

There's some blue around the collar, but other than that it's yellow. A simple design but quite nice.

Alehouseboys is right. I've seen the kit. Yellow shirt, red sponsor logo, blue shorts.

My son likes him because his name sounds like the Riddler which is clearly a good thing when you are 5 and love Batman.

And what did Lallana and Fonte have? The Southampton researcher is clearly not doing his job properly.
