  1. Exactly - the reality is teams fighting for their lives tend to pull off unexpected results (Wigan last year for example). We desparately need to up our game because neither Sunderland nor Stoke will do us any favours and, after our WBA performance and failure to see out the game yesterday (having played so well), both will see us a potential targets for points I really don't think 39 will be enough this year. 40 probably will be - assuming we hold on to our better goal difference
  2. I really wanted to be at SMS on the last day of the season with us safe - really pis~sed off it's gonna be yet another squeaky bum last day of the season in the Premier League
  3. I am worried now that we will fail to get anything from the Sunderland game ...with Stoke having a style of play we find impossible to cope with the assumption "all we have to do is beat Stoke on the final day" is a big one IMHO Result ...we could still go down
  4. I'm sufficiently depressed tonight to seriously consider watching the Voice UK! FFS! That's how worrying this all is
  5. 100% agree Our destiny is in our own hands and we really should have seen that out today ...having played so well for 90% or the game. If I was MP I'd be reaching for the biggest hairdyer availabe
  6. Can i just mention that I am starting to hate Gareth Bale - and I never thought I'd say that Controversal - but true
  7. Haven't you gone a bit "Star Wars Yoda" with all this stress?
  8. Well the less than 1% chance has long gone out the window now! I think we should still stay up - but it's going to be bloody close Despite what some people say I would not like to be at SMS in two weeks time having to beat Stoke - they are just not the sort of side we beat given their style of play Only a decent result against Sunderland will do
  9. As indeed are we.. The difference is ..they are getting the results and we are fcu*king not Great goal from Bale ..but having played so well we really needed to see that out! And we failed to do so.
  10. Lots of ifs.... we need to take events in our own fcu*king hands! Sunderland now vital imho!
  11. To lose at Spurs after we played so well is gutting I am actually starting to hate Bale - I never thought I'd say that!
  12. Pinning my hopes on that!
  13. I'm increasingly worried !
  14. Villa and Wigan both winning - bloody hell - are we safe? Next few minutes critcal at Spurs
  15. Judging by his interview on the Player MP thinks we need at least 1 more point If we got that tomorrow ........
  16. As long as it's not in the Championship I don't care !
  17. This weekend may ease our suffering if results go our way A bonus would be at least a point at Spurs
  18. Sessegnon ban is a bonus for the Saturday after next
  19. I'm sure he's great but we don't need to take risks and I feel we need to protect our goal difference at all costs (especially at Spurs with Bale) - it's worth another point come the last day. Look at the difference in Villa and Sunderland in one game!
  20. Shaw was on crutches last weekend So optimism is not high for us seeing him again this season
  21. Saturday is key Not expecting us to get much from Spurs (although a draw would be nice) It's the other results to watch on Saturday - obviously especially the Wigan game My thinking is that we are not 100% safe yet - but one more point should do it
  22. A point on Saturday would be nice. At least Fox wont be facing Bale. Presumably Clyne - switched to left if Shaw is still on crutches (as he was last weekend).
  23. When I started this thread the Villa result tonight was exactly what I feared might happen after Saints abject capitulation on Saturday. Logic dictates we should stay up ... But why the fcu*k do we make it so difficult ? The last three seasons have made us forget how painful it can be !
  24. Sunderland ...get a grip !
  25. What he said ...And as a nice starting point look at his penalty save in extra time against Norwich and think what the table would look like if Norwich had won.
