  1. Given their level of support they are a natural Championship level team - but they are long way from having the infrastructure and organisation solid Championship teams have. If the fans could drop the delusions and get over themselves they could really enjoy the rise from the depths, just as we did. But they wont. They will always have a chippy resentment towards us, and thats why they'll always be funny.
  2. Its not just the language barrier - he rarely smiles or seems animated and engaged. Even in the JWP / Austin interview you could see him just hanging around in the background.
  3. tbf it would save us and the Americans a fortune in defence.
  4. Pied plays as often in midfield as at RB.
  5. and also blocking the path of players like Reed and Hesketh. We either have a pth for youth to the first team or we dont. Atm we seem to just want to pretend we do.
  6. Ive toyed with idea of booking one for a family event but never got round to it. Whats wrong with them? food? service? view? price?
  7. Would have been different if the planned Moet & Chandon deal had come off
  8. As pointless protests go, that one could win a cup
  9. Turns out 'derisory' was better than the other offers he didnt get.
  10. Not sure about Jon Parkin. He's had as many clubs as hot dinners, and thats a lot. How you going to convince the rest of the team to run and work hard when you've just signed an unfit, overweight 34 year old lumbering oaf?
  11. I wonder how Koeman knows Azpilicueta
  12. Looks fine as back up. Bit of an odd choice for him though - hes never played regularly anywhere. At 26 you'd think he'd want to go somewhere where he'd be No1.
  13. Notable that all but one of the 10 betting companies sponsoring PL teams are based outside the UK, do not not pay tax here or abide by UK voluntary codes of conduct.
  14. Because MSF only operate a minority of the hospitals. MSF stopped supplying the Assad regime with co-ordinates because they found it increased attacks, not lower them. http://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2016/04/28/476064028/syria-hospital-bombing-are-the-rules-of-war-blowing-up http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-36926063 http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/09/world/middleeast/aleppo-syria-hospitals-airstrikes.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-35583977
  15. You're playing with semantics. Is there a point in there? She put money into the loss making club in order to equip it to rise from league 1 to the PL. At some stage she will want to recoup that money. Whether its done as repayment of a loan or as a dividend on shares is neither here nor there.
  16. She still lent it money will likely want to be repaid, reasonably enough. Having the club self funding but with a beneficent owner in the background to act as a backstop during tough times is the perfect setup imo.
  17. On paper they've got the players to do it - but Ive got high hopes for Cook effing it up again.
  18. Doubt it. It would be pretty unusual if he didn't arouse any interest immediately after winning the Euros.
  19. In that case I can recommend a subtle plastic surgeon
  20. Deutsche hasn't come out that badly http://storage.eba.europa.eu/documents/10180/1532819/2016-EU-wide-stress-test-Results.pdf
  21. Michael Bloomberg imo. Both New York based, Bloomberg backing Clinton.
  22. Its real enough. Its the away supporters end at Wigan and was definitely taken at the Wigan v Pompey PL match on 14th April 2010. Wiga's average attendance that season was over 17,800 but Pompey only attracted 14,323. Massive support. Massive club. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8620833.stm (image 18 of 19) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8607828.stm http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk/club/history/Attendances.aspx
  23. I agree they have a big problem - but its going to be tens of billions, not tens of trillions. More of the order of the RBS / Lloyds cleanup than 7 times the GDP of the EU.
  24. Actually apologies are due. It was Johnny Bognor. My bad. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?55274-EU-referendum&p=2356024#post2356024
