  1. Totally agree.
  2. Dont worry about it Matt. You believed what you were told by a friend. I hope the winning party give you some role in the club.
  3. Im not anti - Crouch. Wilde bears most responsibility for the mess we are in. Crouch is clearly a genuine and passionate Saints fan who has put his hand in his pocket on a number of occasions - possibly up to £1m. That doesnt absolve him from keeping afloat a time wasting dreamers bid that should have been smothered at birth. He hasnt bought us a month, he has cost us a month.
  4. I reckon 3:1 on. Pretty confident. Others seems less so. What odds do you reckon?
  5. Crouch's funding of Pinnacle was another stupid mistake, wasting a month and ****ing off more serious buyers.
  6. Amazes me too. Has been very generous with financial support but his judgement is shocking.
  7. You were wrong in having blind faith in Pinnacle and attacking those who expressed doubts. Now you are wrong again about the club being dead and that "anyone who thinks there is any hope is seriously deluded" . The only thing worse than a drama queen is one plenty old enough to know better. The club is far from dead. Fry's statement is very upbeat considering the Pinnacle debacle. He must be very confident if he has authorised the payment of the wages. A deal within 48 hours IMO.
  8. Thats better lol
  9. Great - one pretending to know and the other avoiding showing that he doesnt know.
  10. Agree. He proabably had to go to give the club another 4 weeks to find a buyer - but he'll be a loss.
  11. Actually Bertarelli does have a little local connection - he frequently sails out of Hamble and has a British wife - a former Miss UK - who has very nice brown legs and I imagine owns a white suit.
  12. lol. I was also hoping her money box would be bigger......the one her right hand that is.
  13. I thought it mildly inappropriate for the boardoom, but who am I to judge?
  14. GM's being unnecessarily rude and uncannily accurate in the one post - again
  15. Cant have it both ways? That not what we're used to on this forum.
  16. I fully expect them to get 'pipped at the post' by another group and be 'terribly upset' about it 'but the most important thing is that the club has been saved'
  17. Small but important distinction - if we arent bought by Friday the club itself will enter admin, not be liquidated (though one may quickly follow the other).
  18. Unfortunately Matt didnt seem to have asked the difficult questions of Fialka and his mystery backers - he stated it was rude to ask people how much they're worth. Yes Matt it is rude to ask on the golf course - but when you are being asked to front a £15m bid and lend your personal credibility, its foolhardy not to.
  19. I heard the interview and it did nothing to reassure me unfortunately.
  20. Move along, nothing to see here....
  21. I agree. Thats my concern too.
  22. So you think the market for lossmaking Lg1 football clubs in admin is stronger than for green site land?
  23. Jeez give up on it. Why would any seriously wealthy backer interested in buying the club go through a middle man who knows nothing about football / takeovers / law / accountancy who in turn is linked to another middleman who knows nothing about football / takeovers / law / accountancy. Would you seriously entrust your money and purchase to those two or would you recruit somebody qualified and experienced?
  24. I never said it was. House builder's land banks routinely buy agricultural land on the fringes of conurbations expecting to hold it for 20 years until planning control relaxes.
