Good to see Adkins keeping faith in Connolly. Sharp, if/when required, will come off the bench very hungry to prove he should be starting ahead of Connolly. And Connolly will be busting a gut to prove the opposite.
Clever man management from Adkins. Would have been so easy to have pandered to the obvious clamour to start Sharp.
Birmingham will also have assumed that Sharp would start, so puts them on the back foot a little (tactically).
IMHO of course...
Nothing fishy about it.....until the official Pompey Twitter account posts a picture of TWO programme covers to confirm they did print all the programmes....
Indeed....as if showing a photograph of the cover of two programmes was going to dispell any conspiracy theories about the full programme print run not happening....
@pn_neil_allen: RT @officialpompey: A few conspiracy theorists said we cancelled programme run yesterday!

Oh well, blows that theory...! Maybe they are in the poop afterall...
Unless of course those are just pre-production mock ups before they went for the full programme run.....show us a room full of programmes FFS!!! ;-)
Ahem....I told you.... ;-)
So, it turns out the weather could be a convenient excuse to cut back on expenses in the knowledge the game was highly unlikely to go ahead...?
Time for Hull fans to claim travel compensation if true...
If the game is called off, no doubt it'll add to the sympathy votes they keep getting: "Poor old Pompey surely can't be wound up due to the bad luck of the weather".... You can hear the blinkered bleats already...
Maybe, but this is the stand-out paragraph in that article for me....
"Portsmouth will probably live to be wound up another day. The capacity of football clubs in apparently hopeless positions to carry on somehow is one of the game's phenomena."
Rumour going around on Twitter that no matchday programmes have been printed for the Pompey v Hull game tomorrow...best conspiracy theory wins a football club...
They still sold one player though, ergo they/he traded whilst insolvent?
Unless, of course, he's able to play the "I had no say in the trade, it was authorised by the parent company's administrator"
Sounds like a can of worms one way or t'other...
I would venture that the pitch is guaranteed to still be frozen as early as 10am tomorrow. I guess they can't have it any later due to travelling Hull fans?
