  1. Cheers Derry. Nycomed would seem to fit the bill given that their joint owner, Nordic Capital, invest in sectors other than pharmaceuticals. I seem to recall a few fingers in 'leisure' pies when I last looked.
  2. By the way, why are the technicalities here subject to NDAs and shrouded in secrecy? Surely the process that the FL are asking SFC/SLH to follow is a publically published process so what's stopping the FL and/or Pinnacle issuing a statement about the principles and mechanics involved rather than us trying to guess what they are trying to achieve? Obviously I'm not suggesting they reveal anything confidential. I just can't see how the process they are being asked to follow is confidential.
  3. Best post on here in a long while IMO. The Football League are using rules that were created to stop blatant attempts at "cheating" for other scenarios.
  4. Any idea why not? Cheers
  5. Why would Fry be talking to other bidders this week if there wasn't any time to engage them?
  6. So, like last month, doesn't this put the Football Club subsidiary on the brink of Administration too? (it is afterall the Football Club company's name on the payslips, not SLH.) Perhaps this is part of the sub-plot I've been alluding to about getting SFC Ltd into admin so we can come up with the CVA(s) that the FL need sight of? Not paying wages is probably the easiest/quickest route to going into admin? All in my opinion of course.
  7. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/86289/Reid-lined-up-at-Saints/ Jackson said: “We have met with the administrator. “It is a real shame the staff are not going to be paid but that confirms in my mind we are going to go forward with our bid.”
  8. You're not the first and won;t be the last....
  9. I know I keep putting this forward, but what's stopping us putting the Football Club into administration too as a 'means to an end' exercise to close this catch-22 situation? That of course assumes Pinnacle are fighting the cause not to get more than -10 deduction rather than fighting the -10 itself...
  10. Couldn't agree more. How many calls have they made to the Football League?
  11. My semi-educated guess was Nycomed when that was originally published. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pharmaceutical_companies They are a Swiss pharmaceutical company owned by a couple of private equity investment companies, namely Nordic Capital and CFSB Alternative Capital, head office Zurich..... Who knows....
  12. Hmmmm.....There's another egg reference. There's something in this, of that I'm sure
  13. Apart from the identity of our mystery money man, it would seem....
  14. Would/could/should the FL put that knowledge into the public domain though?
  15. I will be on my knees too....but no praying involved
  16. They are setting up a TV / broadcasting company
  17. I can see that being accepted practice in 'normal' business circles but this is the Football League we are talking about here. Doesn't the Football League have it's own rules about transparency of the source of financial input into football clubs?
  18. Didn't they technically become free agents during that 24 hour period last month where their wages weren't paid?
  19. My prediction on Mole's reaction to this post is as follows: "Hello Marc"
  20. Any idea which Footballing 'names', if anyone, the Swiss have on board? Or are they simply a group of moneymen who will worry about the small matter of engaging footballing expertise if they were to come up on the rails in the final furlong? Reading between the lines, they would appear to be the wealthiest of the 3 runners but perhaps the ones with least preparation and/or thought about the practical footballing side? Am I warm?
  21. Years, to be completely accurate....
  22. Can't be Matthews. He's into turkeys...and they don't lay eggs
  23. I still wonder whether 'we' could/should put the Football Club subsidiary company into administration as a means-to-an-end to get over this catch-22 scenario? What would be the harm in doing so?
