  1. Probably nothing more sinister than broadcasting the draw on a slight delay for 'production reasons' or such like, and the OB being live. Probably...
  2. It traditionally always used to be on a Monday evening, back in the 'good old days', didn't it? Or are my aging memory cells playing tricks on me?
  3. I won't believe it until AR-10 logs on and posts a summary encapsulating all of the rumours and media reports of the last 48 hours
  4. What I Want: Hull at home or Coventry away What we'll get: Either Leicester or WBA away
  5. Cheers... you can never be too sure these days....
  6. Thank you sir/ma'am
  7. Fair points. Yep, going back 5 was the right decision IMO but agree that there is a debate as to who should have come off. Agree that Davis was a better candidate for removal than Boufal. (Although, I think some people are suggesting that going with a back 5 was the wrong decision regardless of who was taken off) I'd also have bought on Lemina instead of Carrillo, given Carrillo effectively played in Lemina's natural position anyway. I suspect Carrillo got some game time simply to welcome our new signing rather than it being the most logical substitution (IMO)
  8. Watford were also 'mighty lucky' not to be 2 or 3 goals down after 60 minutes
  9. McCarthy Cedric - Stephens - Hoedt - A.Fit Left-Back Lemina - Hojbjerg JWP - Boufal - Tadic Carrillo Subs: Forster, Yoshida, Davis, Romeu, Sims, Long, Gabbi JWP to whip in some pinpoint crosses for Carrillo please. Saints 2 Brighton 0
  10. ...
  11. 7:15pm Monday (On the One Show)
  12. Watching MotD. Leicester's Diabate looks exactly like the type of player we're crying out for... Very Mané-esque.... Probably cost a fraction of what Promes would set us back too....
  13. One assumes our old fair wearther chum Mack Rill has run out of popcorn...?
  14. Are you suggesting that a home side shouldn't deploy counter tactics if an away manager decides to put 4 players up front? Even more serious question
  15. Sounds like you've described Charlie Austin there.... which probably isn't a bad thing given Carrillo is supposedly a direct replacement for Austin whilst injured. That said, what happens when they're both fit is anyone's guess!
  16. The difference today is Pellegrino was reacting to a situation rather than the aribtrary tactical changes you refer to in previous games. (IMO)
  17. Yep, agree. My view of today was that we were just as likely to go 2 or 3 up as Watford were of equalising. I've been frustrated with Pellegrino's negative tactics as much as the next man, but I feel today was different. Previously, Pellegrino has gone negative for the sake of doing so. Today, he simply reacted to Watford's change in tactics. In other words, he did something we've all been crying out for.... read the game and react accordingly rather than making arbitrary negative changes. As you say, different perspectives and opinions is one of the beauties of football fandom....
  18. The dynamic of the game had changed before Pellegrino made this substitution. They had already started to apply pressure. He was reacting to Watford's change of tactics. Which, on this occasion, was the right move IMO.
  19. Ssshhhhhh.....
  20. Was surprised he played more in a midfield role rather than up top, so impossible to judge really. I'd have pulled Long into a slightly deeper and/or wider position and put Carrillo up front, which, after all, is why we signed him (?). He definitely doesn't have any pace about him, but we knew that anyway
