  1. Is that another Natalie Imbruglia lyric?
  2. I thought the same when I went into Sainsbury's at the weekend. Not once have I seen the owner in there. I feel it might be time to switch my allegience to Tesco. (Disclaimer: apologies for the somewhat sarcastic post and a poor analogy to boot, but I do find it intriging why there is a clamour from most football fans for the owner to be more visible when, for most other industries, one probably doesn't even know the name of the owner let alone see them. For the record, I go to Sainsbury's more often than I go to Southampton games )
  3. Blimey, that's a bonkers stat. Fine lines and all that.
  4. In the immortal words of Natalie Imbruglia, I'm torn. Ordinarilly, a team in our position would/should go ultra defensive for the Man City game. The logic being that even if we lose it ought to be by a narrow margin. But, this is Saints we're talking about.... It wouldn't surprise me if its something like 0-2 and 2-0 in both games at half time, at which point the nerves will start kicking it, both on and off the field. So, part of me thinks we should stick to a more offensive line up. Indeed, I'm leaning towards playing the same starting 11 as last night. But then I come mentally full circle and try to convince myself we should park the bus. Only a Saints fan would be as nervy as I'm starting to feel about protecting a 9 goal cushion!
  5. Maybe the draw vs Everton was a blessing in disguise.... It meant we had to go for it yesterday and we came away with 4 points from the two games. If we'd beaten Everton there was a danger that we'd have mentally set ourselves up for a draw yesterday which, knowing us, would have probably ended in tears and only 3 points from the two games. So, all in all, a bit of a masterstroke from Bertrand on Saturday to give the ball back to Everton in the final seconds. All makes sense now...
  6. Anyone else starting to get jittery about Sunday despite last night's result and the goal difference cushion? No? Just me then...!

  22. Oh my Lord. Totally ****ed and totally happy! God knows how many £10 - £20 bets I jumped on the draw in the last 10 minutes but I'd rather lose that than win the circa £1k I'd have bagged if Swansea got the late equaliser. Here's hoping we avoid the doomsday scenario on Sunday! (Heavy defeat vs Man City and Swansea thrashing Stoke for a 9 goal swing!!) Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk

  24. I hate to say it, and this sounds illogical on the surface, but I'm almost hoping that Swansea score to release us from our self imposed nervous shackles... Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
  25. Swansea showing so much more intensity than us. No excuse for not matching them on that front Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
