Saint_Stevo also forgets Antonio is 19 years old and has only recently come from non league. He didn't have academy coaching. He is raw and has a lot of good attributes which given time and good coaching could make him into a good player. -

How many players should we off load now or in the summer?

Pardew has said so in interviews on Saints player. Doesn't take a genius to work out have large numbers of professionals not playing will dampen moral. Also harder to train such a large number. When you mutually agree to pay up a players contract it is very often for less than the value of the wages as the player can have a fresh start and find a club that will pay him for the same period. So it would save Saints a little money. -

That is a Scottish football team. Johnstone's Paint Trophy -
Why would anyone want to buy them along with the debts, lack of infrastructure and high running costs? I think this is the end. AFC Portsmouth created by the fans will rise from the flames.

The youth players could walk out as well.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Fratton-Park-employees-told-their.6023574.jp Wages won't be paid tomorrow. Players can hand in their 14 day notice and rip up their contracts and become free agents if they want I think. Strange why Spurs want to buy Kaboul when they could have him for free in two weeks.

Similar to this... Can't afford a £2k bill. Think of the poor children of Guernsey! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8484902.stm

Good point, I bet they ask for money back now.

Pompey are in advanced talks to sell Kaboul back to Spurs. That may pay the wages.

The official Pompey website isn't working. Rumour has it that they haven't paid the company that runs it so they have taken it down. http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/article.php?id=1295 Official site = http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/ Also it is now three different parties on the winding order, so not just HMRC.

Including the academy, Saints have 58 players. Which is a HUGE amount for a League One side. Would be large in the Premiership. Staplewood must be very crowded for training each day. A Summer clear-out is definitely needed! 1. Fonte, Jose 2. Lambert, Rickie 3. Lee Barnard 4. Lallana, Adam 5. Papa Waigo 6. Hammond, Dean 7. Connolly, David 8. Schneiderlin, Morgan 9.
