  1. To mention FM is bizarre, petty and irrelevant. You don't need a game of football to remember someone. People go to a football match for football. People go to remembrance services for remembrance. If you want to remember these people there is ample opportunity to go to a service or pay private tribute in the city. There is no need to combine the two unless the person that died is significant to the club, everyone else can be given respect on the All Saints day.
  2. I refer you to the post above. Post 18.
  3. No such thing as a FA Cup semi final replay. It is decided on the day.
  4. If you mourn everyone that dies with a minutes silence to give respect where do you draw the line? We'd end up having a minute's silence every week. As I said earlier, leave it to family and friends to mourn, not "force" a minutes upon 20,000 who didn't know the individuals. Just feels hollow otherwise. This is why the current system of remembrance of all on one day is the best idea.
  5. **Warning Controversial View** What is the point of giving anyone a minutes silence? What does it achieve? Especially someone you didn't know. Just a hollow gesture by the needlessly sentimental. Yes, I appreciate the work the fireman do in the city, but leave it to their family and friends to mourn.
  6. Don't take my word for it... It is common practice for the price to be set before the loan has started. There would have been a hefty loan fee, % of wages and a pre-determined fee to make it permanent should Saints decide to take it up. For the purposes of Football Manager 2010, I guessed this fee to be around £500k but that was a pure guess on my part. Probably slightly too high in hindsight. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1785065,00.html
  7. It was a loan with a view to a transfer, so it is very likely a price has been arranged already.
  8. You think Charlton will only get 2 points from 6 games and Huddersfield only get 8 points from 6 games? And you have the cheek to criticize women for knowledge of the game!
  9. A share of gate money is a stupid idea. Why would clubs bother increasing the capacity of stadia if they have to share it out? They'd struggle to make the money back.
  10. How does having one injury make him injury prone?
  11. Has Durham had any Celtic fans bite yet?
  12. How is that relevant?
  13. You seem to ignore the fact that the team switches between 442 and 451 during games and then back again. I can't see how you can make a clear distinction between games playing 442 and 451.
  14. Todays result haven't increased the gap from how it was after yesterday. All it has done is probably put Charlton out of reach. Huddersfield and Colchester are still catchable.
  15. Leyton Orient is not Saints game in hand as there is a full set of League One fixtures on Easter Monday. Tuesday 20th April vs Oldham is Saints game in hand.
  16. Huddersfield are a better side imo than Colchester and have a much easier run in. So really do need them to slip up in away games tbh.
  17. No, I just wondered if he was thinking Saints could catch Norwich on 82 points when Saints can only get 78.
  18. How is it relevant to Saints making the playoffs?
  19. I'd rather have the points and a hard run in, compared to being 11 points behind, having a game in hand and have an "easy" run in. Not ruling it out, but Colchester, Charlton and Huddersfield are certainly in the better position.
  20. Need Wycombe to do something special at Adams Park tomorrow.
  21. But its not just about Colchester and Huddersfield... Charlton also have a difficult fixture list, are in poor form and also have to visit St Mary's. "Possible" Saints and Huddersfield replace Colchester and Charlton in the playoffs.
  22. The video of the full interview was on Saints player yesterday. Far better to watch that than read about it with bits missing and not knowing what the questions were, otherwise it may be taken out of context.
  23. If it is going to happen it will be just a matter of a few weeks in order to strike whilst the iron is hot and maximize sales.
  24. All top flight players from a relatively poor pool of English players compared to the current generation.
  25. In the 1970's and early 1980's The Dell was attracting crowds of 20,000+ In the 1990's The Dell capacity was reduced due to the Taylor Report. It became 15,000 but had it been larger the crowds would have been larger.
