They weren't all bad, he had a good number of successes. I think you can make a good case that all of the following have been good signings... Cedric Romeu van Dijk Redmond Hojbjerg McCarthy Bednarek Armstrong Djenepo Ings (of course you can debate how much influence Wilson had in those deals, but we don't know) Lets give him at least a little credit for the ones that worked out!

1) I didn't say it wasn't accurate 2) I didn't say the journalist made it up 3) I didn't say it didn't come from the club All I said was the article did not say it was definitely going to happen, just that it was a possibility. Plus in any case, Mitchell is at one of the best teams in Germany it would be difficult to tempt him back unless moving back to the UK was a large factor in his thinking.

They article uses 'may', 'could' and 'consider', thus a long way from anything concrete.

On what is that claim based?

The God of the Bible orders his chosen tribe to conquer other tribes and keep their woman against their will, marry them and rape them. Lots of God condoning rape in the Bible, for example... "When you go to war against your enemies and the Lord your God delivers them into your hands and you take captives, if you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife... You must not sell her or treat her as a slave, since you have dishonored her." https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy+21&version=NIV -

No... which is why they are trying to resolve that issue.

They have a wagebill of circa £60m
-
Celtic for example have tiny wages compared to Saints... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46358084
-
Look at their wagebills in their accounts, most are tiny compared to ours. Our players are on wages most clubs in Europe cannot afford to match... thus they will be subsidised.
-
Because their wages are far higher than other players at those clubs. They simply could not afford them unless subsidised.
-
They are still employees of Saints, with Saints paying some of their wages as their value decreases.

I'm puzzled how anyone could seriously think it is not more relevant to look at the current season to judge how the current season will finish! The point of this was the points needed for survival in 2019/20. In 2019/20 the team in the final relegation place has fewer points than games played. There are 38 games in a season... so they are on course for fewer than 38 points. Even if they increase points per game ratio... it would then mean others would also need a big improvement. They can't all improve because they'll be taking points off each other. If you have more points than 17th place... you finish 16th or higher If you have more points than 18th place... you finish 17th or higher [video=youtube;rzY0Nb-h3Q0]

Wrong! 1) You could stay up with 36 points in... 2018/19 2017/18 2016/17 2014/15 2013/14 2012/13 2011/12 (plus you ignored my point about the average points per game for the current team in 18th place... that is more relevant than previous seasons) 2) No one has said it is the aim
-
The team in 18th place is currently on fewer points than games played. 24 points from 25 games. Over a 38 game season that average points per game would equal 36 points.

No it isn't. Because it was an an answer to the question 'will Celtic have enough money'. The link is evidence of their money, the question was not do they have the intention to use their money on players.
