His dad on twitter yesterday... Enrique Rodriguez. @KikoRod9 Oct 27 Thank you to all saints fans who are supporting Jay. He is back in training and everything is good. Up the saints, up the clarets

Hard to tell for sure, but I think Isgrove is in picture 22 of today's training gallery... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2016-10-25/image-gallery-southampton-sunderland-efl-cup-training Shane Long wasn't mentioned by Puel as being unavailable, so perhaps he'll play some part.

Puel has confirmed Pied, Bertrand, Cedric, Targett & Hesketh will all be unavailable... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2016-10-25/video-claude-puel-pre-southampton-sunderland-efl-cup

He played 60 minutes for the under 23s on Monday evening, so it is very unlikely he'll play again on Wednesday.

How does playing with a back three solve the problem of McQueen being tired, Targett & Bertrand recovering from injury? A back three system requires a left wingback and our most suited players to be a left wingback are Bertrand, Targett & McQueen.

The thoughts of the likes of Phil Neville on Motd 2 have no bearing on what will happen. It is down to what scouts & decision makers at clubs think and how strong a position Saints consider themselves to be in as van Dijk is under contract until 2022 so Saints could do as they did to Schneiderlin & Wanyama and refuse to sell him for another season. I recall people saying Lovren and in particular Alderweireld will be "impossible to replace". That is unlikely to happen, a top centre half will cost even more in January than the summer and clubs will be less likely to sell. A Charlie Austin situation may arise with a player cheap because they are refusing to sign a new deal, but that is rare and would also be hard to keep the squad happy if we sign a new 1st choice CB.

You appear to be suggesting we should have 3 senior players for each position which is daft, it would leave us a bloated squad with 33 players and wouldn't be able to register some of them. We play a formation with 3 attacking players, we have 6 senior 1st team attacking players so 2 per position, plus youngsters like Hesketh & Olomola.

Nope, he did an interview in English on the day he signed for Saints...

Do our ticket office create unnecessary obstacles ?
Matthew Le God replied to Kingsland Red's topic in The Saints
If Inter Milan tell Saints ticket office something and then they don't enforce it, that isn't Southampton's fault. -
Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Official
Matthew Le God replied to Sergei Gotsmanov's topic in The Saints
Have you looked at it then? Because... Sam Gallagher is the joint 6th top scorer in the 2016/17 Championship and has done so playing for a weak team that doesn't create many chances and not starting every game. -
I thought that was basically just the switchover from Saintsforever closing to Saints Web starting and we all moved over. It was a long time ago, so I've forgotten exactly what happened.
-
I wonder if Sparta Prague & Hapoel Ben She'va thought the same when they played and beat Inter Milan 3-1 and 2-0 respectively?

He just scored his 4th Championship goal of the season tonight vs Nottingham Forest. 4 goal in 8 (& a bit) games is pretty good going for a struggling team. Amazing how many Saints fans have written him off already. -
I know rotation is useful and has worked well for us this season; but for Fonte to go with us from League 1 to European football in the San Siro and not start seems kinda wrong!
-
Brexit is in FM17 3 different scenarios can occur and there is a % chance you'll get one of them in each game you play. Here are two of them... Those that voted for Brexit have made FM a lot harder to manage an English club!
-
Possibly something minor as he didn't go down the tunnel, but Redmond had a pack of ice on an injury when he sat on the bench after coming off.
-
Boufal at the stadium with kit bag, looks like he'll be on the bench today for first time...
-
The journalists didn't ask him about those two, perhaps if they are doing their job well & done some research on the squad they will ask about them in part 2 of the press conference (which is embargoed until 10:30pm as normal).
-
Poor personal hygeine?
-
Boufal 2015/16 - 29 league games - 11 league goals Puel's front 3 are given a lot of freedom to rotate. His preferred front three at the moment appears to be Austin, Redmond & Tadic. But they swap positions with each other throughout games, Boufal will likely be used in a similar fashion. The movement & rotation of positions leaves opposing defences clueless as for who to mark, this was particularly apparent vs West Ham.
-
Forster played the entire game vs Leicester and is currently on England duty. Rodriguez was back in training last week as was Boufal, but I doubt the club will deem either are ready to start 1st team games yet.
-
More than a few, he has been in them for over a month. He is the 4th choice centre back though, so when Fonte/van Dijk/Yoshida are all fit he isn't going to be in the match day squad of 18.

He is starting for Rep. Ireland tonight... Southampton FCVerified account@SouthamptonFC Southampton FC Retweeted FAIreland #SaintsFC's @ShaneLong7 starts for Republic of Ireland in #WCQ action away to Moldova tonight:
