Your original post implied the two were connected, i.e. that going to church made him a "top man". How does it make someone a good person to goto church? If a God did exist I'd rather not worship one who requires constant worship, a God like that sounds like living in a North Korean dictatorship. If Wanyama does a lot of charity work that is commendable. But if charity work is motivated by sucking up to a man in the clouds so you get a place in heaven, then that rather taints it. Charity work for secular reasons has more honesty and integrity to it, than feeling obliged to do it to please a man in the clouds.

What if the church he goes to worships a different deity to the one you've chosen to believe in. Does that still make him a "good man"?

Don't be silly, but I do struggle to see how being an "avid church goer" makes someone a "top man". Being a "supporter of many charities" is fair enough, but you don't need to be religious to do that.

He is a huge upgrade in quality on Davis and Gazzaniga. Forster is our long term keeper, we aren't going to sign someone that will stay number 1 when Forster is back. Stekelenburg should be of sufficient quality to be our keeper in the meantime.

No, they gave a roundup of Saints related rumours in other media sources and cited the Express. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/13345704.GOSSIP__Saints_to_tie_up_deals_for_Alderweireld_and_Austin_/?ref=mac That is not the same as the Echo themselves linking Austin with a bid from Saints.
-
I don't think an Echo journalist overlooking him is anything to be worried about, its how Koeman views him that is important.

The gas holders are huge!

Can you provide any proof of this?

"Average" players don't play for as many top clubs as he has. The season before we signed him he was the joint 3rd top scorer in Serie A, "average players" don't do that. Even in his brief time in a Saints shirt you could see he had the technique, ball control, movement, creativity etc of a very good player. The problem was his personality and temperament.

At the point some of these previous posts and threads you & Turkish are now trawling up were written we didn't know what the relationship between Cortese and Liebherr was like for certain. We know have a better understanding, given the way things ended and other things have come to light. A lot was still just forum rumour and unsubstatiated press speculation. Had Cortese and Liebherr had a better relationship perhaps his ambition for the stadium may have proven more likely to gain favour from our financial backer.
-
I think he'd be more likely than Krueger to push for it, it then becomes a question of if he could get the finance for it. Given the breakdown between Cortese and Liebherr that would have proven extremely difficult.
-
You both fail to see the context those posts were written in. At the time of my posts the club was being run by someone who commissioned expansion designs. Circumstances changed under new management. Did either of you predict Cortese's departure?

His CA makes him the 15th best Saints player in the current FM15 database. 18th if you include Osvaldo, Ramirez and Boruc. Is that unreasonable?
-
Really? How much do you think he is on then? His CA makes him the 15th best Saints player in the current FM15 database. 18th if you include Osvaldo, Ramirez and Boruc. Is that unreasonable?

Have you seen some of the stadiums in the Europa League? St Mary's is light years ahead of them. The specification required to play in the Premier League more than covers anything we'd need for European games.
-
tbf to him he is a very good player, the problem is... he is a mentalist.
-
I'm pretty confident Ramirez and Osvaldo won't be playing in the Championship next season. We've loaned Osvaldo to Juventus, Inter Milan and his boyhood club Boca Juniors, he won't be playing 2nd tier English football.
-
I'm sure I'll cope.

I doubt QPR would agree to such clauses, as wouldn't see their chances of getting the money as good enough to keep them happy. £15m isn't a huge amount more than we've been spending on other players anyway, our £10m or more signings... Bertrand £10m Forster £10m Osvaldo £15m Ramirez £12m Tadic £11m Mane £10m Long £12m Wanyama £12m

Targett & Ward-Prowse named in England U21 Euro squad
Matthew Le God replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
How many 20 year old midfielder's had 6 assists last season in the Premier League? Ward-Prowse did so from 16 starts and 9 sub appearances, with an injury interrupting his season from September to December. -

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/11516571/Roy-Hodgson-plans-to-give-James-Ward-Prowse-senior-England-call-up.html Why would loaning him out "man him up"? He is already getting huge amount of gametime for someone his age in the Premier League, few get more. If we loaned him out we'd be short of central midfielders.
