  1. Websites crashing, phones down, camping overnight. Its on days like this I'm glad I have a season ticket.
  2. If goal difference was "worth a point", then team B would be above team A. 17th - Team A - 39 points Goal difference -15 ...................... 18th - Team B - 38 points Goal difference -10 But they aren't. Fin
  3. How hard did you look? If on the menu bar you click on "tickets" and then "ticket updates" you get... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/tickets/ticket-updates/ If you then click on the West Brom game you get this... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/tickets-saints-vs-west-brom-737856.aspx
  4. Harsh on Brighton.
  5. Please use this and post a screenshot of your results... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor/default.stm

  7. If Saints win on Saturday, 8th place is only 3 points away...
  8. What win?
  9. hmm... Playing 2 Champions League qualifying games vs Braga and 7 SPL games for Celtic. I don't think he played in the Champions League games for FC Copenhagen. The SPL bar the Old firm is lower Championship/upper League One level.
  10. - Aarron Martin is 23 and will turn 24 in September. The club progressed too quickly for him and he will leave as he will never be Premier League quality. - 19 year old Jack Stephens signed a new 4 year deal only two weeks ago!!! He is progressing well, playing for England at youth level and is a far better player than Martin. I certainly wouldn't write him off, he has a bright future imo.
  11. Fonte isn't in on the list.
  12. As I said, how would Saints recoup that £3.5m fee at the moment given he hasn't played much? We'd be better off keeping him and see how he develops in the coming years. He is young at 22 and from what I've seen of him he looks to have potential. I'm certainly not going to write him off (yet). The other players on the list I can understand leaving as they are relics of successive promotions and the club progressed too quickly for them and we need a better quality now. He was even used in the last game, so is still in Pochettino's thoughts.
  13. See post #29
  14. Not really. If Cortese decides to invest £3.5m on a 22 year old international, I think he will give him more than a year to show his worth. Given his lack of game time so far we would struggle to recoup that fee and would be better of keeping him to see how he develops.
  15. Because... 1) he is only 22 years old 2) he is the 5th most expensive signing Southampton have ever made 3) he has shown glimpses of potential in the brief cameos he has had I think he'll stay, have a pre-season with Pochettino and we'll see more of him next season along with Vegard Forren.
  16. It was reported at around £3.5m and I agree I can't see him leaving yet. Still only 22 years old and has shown glimpses of potential in his brief cameos.
  17. A lot of those listed aren't in the squad and have been loaned out for most of the season. They don't need to be "replaced" directly. It is basically clearing the deadwood from successive promotions that weren't able to keep up with the progress of the club. It'll likely end up being more than 15 players if you include the development squad players leaving.
  18. I doubt Mayuka will leave this summer.
  19. He is playing for the under 21's this afternoon.
  20. Take off 1,836 Sheff Utd fans, and there were only 16,597 Pompey fans at their "new dawn" of fans owning the club yesterday. Can't sell out a 21k stadium! Can't use the "Chainrai excuse" anymore, so what is the new excuse? It wasn't just that the fans trust taking over made it a big game, it was also the last home game of the season. On Saints last home game of the 2009/10 season in League One, they had -10 points and couldn't finish higher than 7th - but had a crowd of 25,289 vs Southend for a meaningless game!
  21. You continue to overlook the large number of teams below us. For Saints to go down those teams from 13th to 18th all need to catch us, and many have games against each other where they will be taking points off each other. For example on the last day of the season Wigan play Villa. They can't both get 3 points from that game.
  22. I hope this doesn't mean Saints plan to park the bus in front of the goal and be negative this afternoon...
  23. I look forward to seeing the accounts for 2013/14.
  24. In the past years of this thread I recall people saying "time to close it its over now". I don't think anyone here thinks this is the end, not by a long stretch. The trust's business plan is shot full of fundamental flaws and over estimations of the fanbse. The inmates are running the asylum! It'll end in tears (and administration number 4 in 2015)
  25. I was wrong, not Swindon. But Huddersfield is right. So list is... Leicester Leeds Saints Sheff Utd Sheff Weds Swansea Huddersfield Norwich City Charlton Athletic Nottingham Forest
