As Steve Grant said, Matt Targett is the next one. -

Hmmm... -
He called us "stripy feckers", so he had it coming!

You really aren't in a great position to gloat, Saints are midtable in the Premier League, category 1 academy, large modern stadium they are looking to expand and develop, £15m upgrade of the training ground nearly complete. Where as Pompey have crippled themselves for decades to come, will be in the 4th tier next season with a dilapidated stadium, don't own a training ground and a poor category 3 academy. You will be squeezed from the West by Saints and the East by a resurgent Brighton for fans and youth players for many years to come. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/trust-wants-to-buy-by-april-19-1-4992816 Well that doesn't seem to have happened before the end of the working day today. In any case, why would Chainrai have got the gate money from tomorrow's game? Nor have we seen the details of the High Court deal with Chainrai that were promised a week ago by the trust. What has gone wrong with both of those? I thought the trust were bring a new dawn of fan ownership transparency! Do you still trust the trust? Or will it take some more **** ups for the doubts to creep back in?

I'm now thinking of David like this...
-
Football League, not the Football Association.
-
Sounds like the Football League are going to take the ten points off this season. An email from them today... "A further 10 point deduction is applicable when and if the club exists administration this season as per The League’s condition of membership as previously outlined last July (e.g. regardless of the when club’s League performance in 2012/13). The Football League issued a statement regarding Portsmouth FC in July 2012, which fully outlined the conditions of membership, including a further points deduction if and when the club exists administration during the current season." Not only is -10 points lenient for diluting a failed CVA compared with the -17 points dished out for failing to agree a CVA for Rotherham and Bournemouth, but taking the ten points off now that they have been relegated is completely futile and has no impact on them.

I thought in training players were meant to hold back to avoid injuring teammates, it seems our manager is involved in full blooded tackles! You don't get Harry Redknapp or Alex Ferguson doing them.
-
Here you go... I guess you mean Pochettino, but Forren is also in the picture.

David, it is you that missed the OP. I think you need to read this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21274752

I've seen a lot of Pompey fans think they will walk the League as they think they will have by far the biggest attendances in League Two next season. Bradford City's average attendances in 6 years of League Two struggles... 2007/08 - 10th place - 13,694 2008/09 - 9th place - 12,704 2009/10 - 14th place - 11,423 2010/11 - 18th place - 11,128 2011/12 - 18th place - 10,171 2012/13 - 7th place - 10,190

Key question... Is diluting a failed CVA an "insolvency event"? Football League rules state that... Insolvency Event' refers to any one of the following: (a) entering into a Company Voluntary Arrangement pursuant to Part 1 of the Insolvency Act, a Scheme of Arrangement with creditors under Part 26 of the 2006 Act, or any compromise agreement with its creditors as a whole Like diluting a failed CVA? ................................ 12.3.1 If any Club becomes subject to or suffers an Insolvency Event, that Club shall be deducted 10 points. It then goes on to say... 12.3.4 Where the circumstances set out in Regulation 12.3.3(b) apply and at the end of that Season, having regard to the number of championship points awarded (ignoring any potential deduction): (a) the Club would be relegated in accordance with Regulation 10.1.2(b) or 7.3, the points deduction will apply in the next following Season (including in the Football Conference if appropriate); or (b) the Club would not be relegated as aforesaid, the points deduction will apply in that Season and Regulation 10.1.2(b) or 7.3 will then apply (if appropriate) following imposition of the points deduction. http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20120702/section-3-the-league_2293633_2125717 The place to email and ask... enquiries@football-league.co.uk

It was written in July 2012. Not sure why it has its own thread in April 2013.
