Chris Johns has been at Saints since last summer and is a 2nd year scholar for the under 18's. I don't think Cody Cropper has a contract, certainly not been announced. Cropper joined on trial earlier in the summer.

Yesterday (as he has most of the summer), Schneiderlin sat alot deeper than the other central midfielders. He is the holding midfielder, then he had Lallana and Ward-Prowse in front of him who are expected to both defend and also break forward to support the striker and wide players. What you describe is not a 433, Adkins even refers to the system we have been using as 433.

Lallana is being used in central midfield and Cork will be back soon. Central midfielders aren't what we need with Lallana, Davis, Schneiderlin, Cork and Ward-Prowse.
